Do you get any errors when trying to access the site?

It would be a little more helpful with some description of the problem and maybe a screenshot or two.

I would first try clearing your internet cache. It might be trying to load up an invalid page from your cache. If you are using Internet Explorer:

Tools > Internet Options > delete your Temporary Internet Files

If that doesn't fix it, try going to Google and searching for the page you want to goto and click the link (in case you misspelled something).

If that also doesn't work, I would say try to ping the website itself. Goto

Start > Run >type "CMD" (without quotes) [Enter] > type "ping www.srtforums.com" (without quotes)

If you get replies your browser is messed up somehow. Check the Security tab in Internet Options and check your security levels, they should be between Medium and Medium-High. Also check your Restricted and Trusted Sites.

That should be a good first round of troubleshooting.

Does an IP ban still route you to a page? Or does it just go straight to teardown?

My vote is a DNS (or potentially browser) problem.

He said he cannot get to certain sites. If he said cannot get to any site then I would agree with a DNS issue or network hardware issue or something of the sort.

Unless of course his ISP doesn't have root hints configured correctly...but that's just rediculous.

Like I said check your security settings.

And ping is a necessity to make sure you can even contact the domain. If you can't but you can get to Google, you're being blocked from the domain. Maybe Ekool has a firewall that has your IP shunned or something.

take your computer to a friends house and try to access the sites. That way you have a different IP and you can tell if you are banned.
