Thumbs down People Driving Have Some Serious Road Rage!

I swear people are just assholes on the road. I'm driving to work this morning and (as usual) people are doing between 5-10 MPH UNDER the speed limit so naturally if I can find an open patch of road I'll go around someone. With that said we're doing 35 down a main street with a 45mph speed limit and there's this old 90s POS in front of me doing between 30-35. I finally get enough room to go in the right lane and pass him and then move back over into the left lane to get up to speed. Less than a half a mile later we come to a main intersection and we have the green light. Now get this...he goes into the left turn lane, goes WOT, and proceeds to charge into my lane almost crushing me into the car next to me on my right. I basically got my adrenaline going and I got into the throttle and forced him eventually to get behind me. I then proceeded to drop him to 10mph down the street for a half a mile (I had plenty of time to get to work still). I then get the bird later down the road when he turns off. I swear what's wrong with people these days I just don't understand it.

Cliff Notes: Guy under speed limit I go to pass him...he starts to tail gate me and then cut into a turn off lane and tries to ram me off the road.

there is no such thing as a fast lane, you sir clearly dont understand the rules of the road either so stfu.

the lane commonly said to be the "fast" lane is actually a passing lane. its not supposed to be travelled in other than to pass another vehicle.

if you want to be technical.... but instead of dealing with you, mr. e-thug, i will quote cat williams.. if 20 million mf'in people call it the fast lane for 20 mf'in years... its a fast lane... i love cat williams... and trust me, i try to stay in the right lane, but when people drive slower in that lane, i proceed to pass them, only to get behind a car driving the same speed in your "passing" lane.. therefore, i get mad...

7angofragger AMEN MAN!

All I ask...at least do the speed limit (or up to 5mph over) and if you can't due to the sheer volume of traffic AT LEAST keep up with the car in front of you and not drop back 10 car lengths while your holding a starbucks coffee in one hand and a cell phone in the other! I swear it drives me nuts.

Another pet peeve is going out to my house the main road goes from 45-->55mph and one lane (basically open country-like road) and people do between 35-40mph down it and there's rarely a time when it's a dotted yellow.

There's no such thing as the passing lane here in NY, (well I mean there is but no one follows that law at all) we call it the fast lane. Left lane = Fast lane, middle lane = normal speed, right lane = granny lane.

I absolutely hate driving in NY at times because of how many dumb idiots drive 15 mph under the speed limit in the left lane and then do exactly what they did to you. I had one guy this morning (at least 80 years old) in a brand new Jaguar who couldn't see over the steering wheel doing 20mph under the speed limit swerving and hitting the brakes whenever someone came within 50 feet of him. I just want to smash him so hard into the wall.

If no one is around to see it happen, it's not illegal

It's not dotted. It's dashed. Now I'm an e-thug, too!

On high ways there is and it is usually specified for trucks and slower traffic to keep right.

I had a guy the other day cut me off 3 times on purpose then drive anywhere between 50 and 75MPH (depending on the speed of the car next to him) so I couldn't pass. He managed to piss me and the other cars around him off. I can only assume I pissed him off sometime in the past but he almost ended up with wifeys mcdonalds cheeseburger all over the side of his truck when he turned off.

There is a fast lane? Is there a different speed limit for this 'fast lane'? I'm curious because around here, all lanes on the same road have the same speed limit.

I've been meaning to break up some spark plugs and keep them in the center console to throw at people that piss me the FUCK off. I almost caused this truck to flip over because he tried keeping up with me, then he took a turn at 100 or so and I watched him fish tail

Try to run me off the road and you'll see a gun hanging out the window.
