I used to be into paintball a lot before i moved away for college so i've been out of the game for about 3 or 4 years. Me and a couple room mates have decided to get back into it after we found out there are 3 or 4 local fields by us. I've been looking into new markers and i'm not sure which route to go. I dont want to spend a lot. I really have been looking at the ICD 2k4 BKO. Can pick them up at a decent price and looks like it would be a good gun to start out with again. The other gun i was looking at was the Smart Parts ION. What does everybody here shoot?
Its been a while, so if anybody has any advice as far as new Loaders, Masks, ETC. on the market. It will take me weeks to get caught back up on everything.
Someone stole my paintpall gun I miss it...and I used to only play out in the swamps around here...was a lot of fun. I once won a game by being the only one to shoot someone else and that someone happened to be a Navy SEAL too!
so...Sicks > Navy SEALs

The gun I had was a spyder.
The first time I played paintball was in the ninth grade at a paintball park, was my older brother's best friend's birthday party. I got shot point blank with an angel 4 times (i was out of ammo and air...just sitting there with my plug in the gun)...the last one almost hit me in the head, luckily i got my arm up in time but i still have a faint scar on my hand from where it hit. i thought my brother and his friend was gonna beat the guy's ass especially after they pulled my mask and hat off to check my head and started flipping out screaming "oh shit oh shit! i didn't know she was a girl!!" like that matters at all male or female id be just as dead or retarded if it'd hit me there.

Yeah I bled quite a bit, the douches were only like 3 feet away from me when they lit me up..standing there with my hands up assholes...found the shell of the paintball that hit my hand up in the shoulder of my coat.
The gun I had to go against the multiple angel-wielding (some of them modified), fuckers was a fucking piranha.
i played paintball for like 10 years before i quit. college and money was the reason why. are you more of a woods ball player or competition player? I played on a circuit, and was pretty competitive. it all depends on what you like. wearing camo and sneaking through the woods, or 20 balls a second flying by your head as your popping in and out of air bunkers.

I got shot in the hand while my hands were up and i was walking off the field. I ended up getting kicked out of the next game for charging the kid and shooting him point blank multiple time
I agree with Bella on the tippmann, i had an a-5 with the same mods. Very reliable. I used that as my woods gun. Now i have an orracle. I dont really play anymore though and i was thinking of selling my stuff

Navy Seals>all.. if it was real life he woulda tooken the shot and stabbed you with is thumb...
but seriously, get a spyder for the first gun to swing back into it... really good gun to get started...
My first gun was a Spyder TL back in the day and then bought a BOBLONG but sold that to help with college stuff. I definately want to go with an electric gun and have been seriously contemplating the electric spyders out there just because they are a good name. I've always like Model 98's too just because they are so reliable.
As far as my playing style, it will be a lot of open area. All of the fields around here have woods but they are very open, not thick and do have bunkers, wood piles, etc to protect you. There are also bunker courses which is why i will need a fast shooting gun with a pretty fast loader.
