Waive goodbye to your #1 ranking. It's not just the fact that they lost, but to an unranked team......further proving my point that the Big Ten is the most overrated conference in the country.
i wouldn't say the Big 10 is the problem, but the whole system is flawed anyways.
i have always been an advocate of the the playoff system. BCS rankings are gay. OSU got handled by some schlep team, it's about time.
jim
The problem is that Big Ten teams is that they are given the easiest schedules every season. OSU is a perfect example of that. Every season, they place the worst non-conference teams. If they ever do have to play an even remotely tough team, they almost always get to play that team at home. The Big Ten, as a whole, is a joke.

Not for anything, but the SEC is also a joke (although i enjoy their games the most) and whatever conference Texas teams fall under......lame.
college games are fun, but again, the system is gay. you're right about OSU and their schedule. then again, look at the Dallas Cowboys in the NFL. they have played ONE good team so far and lost.......they are lame.
Big 12 - 3 teams in the top 7, 4 in the top 15. There you go

And how are your Eagles doing so far?
They still gonna win the NFC East?
Doc
not looking so good. although if they had the Cowgirl's schedule, maybe so.
either way, the Birds are shit this year. i pray for a 8-8 season. time to rebuild.
anyways.........
you cannot say the Cowboys don't have an easy schedule this year.
I'm not even a Kansas fan at all, but a team in one of the major conferences going undefeated deserves more of a shot at the title game than any one loss team, if Kansas wins out it shouldn't be an issue, they'd knock Oklahoma off (provided that OU and Kansas both make the Big 12 title game) and they are in the toughest part of their schedule, Okie St, Missouri, they have Iowa State, which you wouldn't think of as a tough game, but Iowa State has beaten Kansas State and Colorado back to back. With the Big 12 title game, SOS should get a lot better for them. THey had some real patsies in their non conference schedule.
You must not follow much college football. The SEC has been the most dominant conference for decades. More championships, more top 10 rankings, more players in the NFL than any other conference in the country.

Edit:
They are in the same division. They play the same teams, as everyone else in thier division. With MAYBE 1 or 2 different teams at the most. You can't really be argueing that the Eagles would be better this year if they had the Cowboys schedule.

the only "same teams" they play are those in the NFC East. look at the Cowboy's schedule. the Pats are the only good team they faced thus far. not saying the Eagles would be undefeated if they had the Cowboy's schedule, but they would be a lot better off.

I took the liberty to color coat every thing for you. Silver games are different teams. Dallas plays @ Carolina and St. Louis at home, while the Philly plays Seattle at home and @ New Orleans........
I cant believe they lost to Illinios last night. Screw Ohio St. they did not deserve to be number 1. I will say that LSU is deffinatly the best team out there. Its been a crazy ass college season this year.
And for the record Kansas may go undefeated but their schedule is extremely weak.

But... they will be playing two top 5 teams in their next three games (provided they beat Missouri to get TO the big 12 title game) that should help them
