If your going to go the 2.4 route any van will work. I bought my '88 van for $50 and it came with the Mitsubishi 3.0. I found a turbo van in the junk yard and grabbed the wiring harness and computer. I had a 2.2 turbo and an auto trans and put them in. Three years later I built a 2.5 for it. The bulk head connector is the same for the 2.5 T.B.I., V-6, or 2.5 turbo from '87 to '90. I'm not sure for the other years. Turbo vans were built in '89 with batch fire injection and '90 with sequential injection only. And both harnesses plug into the bulk head connector. You just have to make sure the computer matches the harness.

I realize that a mini van is on the bottom of the "cool" scale. I don't try to make it into something is not. Like a lot of clowns who walk through a store like Pepboys with a shit magnet. That's why I don't have any hood scoops, racing stripes, etc. All I have is this on the back:
