Who here has played the career mode? I'm stuck. The manual is utterly useless. Why is it that when you purchase a new car you cannot buy parts that you've previously unlocked on the game? Say I get the Engine Race Package unlocked driving the RX-7, I sold it, and purchased the Skyline GTR. I go in to purchase the Engine Race Package, and it's locked again. I went and ran the race thinking that would unlock it, but it doesn't.

Anyone get that far in the game to find all this confusing shit?

And yes, I know there's a game section, it might get an answer by monday when people actually read it, so I'm posting it here. Don't like it? So fucking what

i have beat it twice , don't remember that happening. but it has been a while since i played it. just started playing most wanted again (already have beat it twice also) i think it is the best one, pro street sucks donkey balls !!!!!!!!

I think I sort of figured it out, there are tiers for every level from what I can see, so for each type of car you have to open up new tracks.

This Skyline is absolutely ridiculous.

I can't remember what cars I've beaten the game with. Yeah it sucks you gotta start over each time, but hey it's what makes the game fun. Try finding a race that pays out good, thats easy to win, and just run it a couple times to get your money up for parts. Then go to a higher pay race and just win that a couple times.

Well, I stayed up till like 6 in the morning and beat the game. I couldn't get around that bastard (Audi Quatro something or other) at the end in the canyon, so I decided to purchase a Dodge Viper, thinking that maybe if I got the fastest accelerating car I could get around the prick before the first curve and hold him off for 10 seconds, and that's what I ended up doing heh heh.

i beat the game with the viper then purchased the z06. got all of the stages of upgrades for both and they pretty much drive exactly the same. cept the viper edges out the z06 just a tad in a straight line.
