Heres the answer to your problems with bfmic and how intercooler ISNT two words. Let us start with the fact that it isnt always called bfmic. Its also sometimes referred to as an I/C. Now since intercooler is only one word I guess we should just start calling it an I. Now honestly ... I would be so fucking confusing. <--That sentence just proved it.

Now about the whole "where else would you mount it?!" On a spectrum of vehicles the "I" is mounted on top. These people call it a top mount. Maybe its just clarifying the obvious which some people have a hard time understanding.
