I know it's just a shell for IE, but what it does bring to the table is what most people complain IE(6) lacked. If Firefox 3 fixes what I didn't like about 1 & 2, then I may try it out. I doubt I can use it for everything due to work related things, but for many others it may be great.
btw, firefox is generating a whole 6.5% of the total requests on our public website this past week, which happens to be completely xhtml compliant and unrelated to the other web apps mentioned earlier (completely different domain and server).
Perceived security.
I can see your point but, if your public website is business oriented and only businesses look at it then yes, most of the browsers are gonna be I.E.. The reason being, that most businesses use the windows platform and companies don't allow you to install software on their computers. Thats why on this site 26% (which is a lot on this site) of the people use Firefox, cause its not a business oriented site. If you think Firefox or Opera isn't more secure than I.E. do some research on it.
By the way whats your website?

I'll give a thumbs up for firefox -- it is my browser of choice. I've also been using Flock a lot lately and like it alot. Peep it if you get a chance.
My roommate has been using Flock this past year. He swears by it. I've checked it out at home, but I guess it's one of those habit things; I tend to just use Firefox.
it's our business website but the users are mostly housewives and families. We provide a service to families on vacation out here. I'd rather not say what the website is right now because, well, I'd not. If you look around at my posts and think and do a google search or two you can find out the website. I'm updating things a little now and will be doing a complete redesign in January. There's been a few comments from customers concerning overlapping text and images on one or two pages, and if I make it look right in IE, firefox overlaps a lot. If I space it out right for firefox, IE overlaps on only one line of text. Who thought defining position exactly was supposed to actually work 100%.

Ya the overlapping thing does suck. Ill see if I can find your site. Maybe its something I can use? It's like a Srtforums scavenger hunt! If you don't mind can you pm me it? I wont plaster it up.
Edit: I think I found it? If thats it, nice pics.
