In the last week two of these fake anti-virus virus's have infected my laptop. I use AVG (free version), but it didn't stop them or do much to delete them.
The first one was called Antivirus Pro 2010 and this one I just got, is called security tool. I manually deleted the first one and planning to use the restore disc on this one. I have an external harddrive for pics, music etc...still these are becoming a PITA.
What firewall/anti-virus/registry cleaner you guys use, if any? Or is it even worth it to have one? Help for the compillterate, plz.
Usually, you have to find out which specific malware has infected your computer and go after it individually. Rarely will you find a program that will do it all...that's been my experience after removing a plague of these.
i doubt it. computer is brnad new and runs FAST as shit
plus i dont go to any websites besides srtforums, facebook, and gmail and espn and redsox.com on this computer.
I use AVG just to get the obvious shit...other than that I'm protection free and no problems here...I'm on a computer I built in 2005 I did reformat it when I switched to Vista...and probably will again once I get Windows 7.
