Default Boone Pickings Plan to Reduce Dependence on Foreign Oil

This hit the air waves I believe today and its seems to be catching on like wild fire. Boone Pickings a well known successful major oil guy is trying to lead the country in right direction because our members of Congress can't work together to solve the issue. They still haven't learned there lessons from the 1970's energy crisis.

Ckeck it out and get on board and spread the word.

That would be awesome. But as said before. Big oil has too much money. And anyone can be bought.

Congress is only talking, and doing nothing, there is FAR too much money in oil that flows into every senator and congressperson's pocket for them to ever to anything about the current oil crisis, and that's a guarantee. This isn't a Democratic or Republican problem, it's a regular american's nightmare. We don't have big oil lining our pockets with cash like they do.

Oh, they are going to say the right things in public, in fact they may even have a couple of 'hearings' if prices continue to be insane, but they are just talking the talk, they don't have any plans to do anything about it. And there really isn't shit that anyone can do, that's the sad thing about all of this. "DONT BUY FROM X OIL, BUY FROM Y OIL INSTEAD!!!" Even IF it had an impact (it won't) all that is going to happen is that Y Oil is going to purchase X Oil's product and sell it to you under the Y Oil name.

"CUT DOWN ON YOUR DRIVING!!!" Well, that's great, but let's say every person in the United States suddenly decided to drive half the distance on average that they do now, consider that gas costs double what it did just a short couple of years ago, and even driving half the distance you do now is only going to drop their profits to what it was at that point, still not a viable solution.

So what works? Fuck, I don't know, I just know that it's complete and utter bullshit that gasoline costs as fucking much as it does, our oil companies and politicians keep talking about reduced supply, in the meantime everyone else on earth is saying it has nothing to do with supply (and I believe them, record production ALL OVER the fucking place) and has everything to do with speculation on oil *GASP* and dare I say it, a conspiracy by a certain few oil companies in the USA to drive the price of fuel through the fucking roof? It's the only thing I know of that I've actually agreed with the Iranian president on, of all people.

I hate subscribing to conspiracy theories but there is very little else that makes sense, but like I said, there is so much fucking money at stake, like literally hundreds of billions of dollars, God help you if you ever did find the real cause, you'd get snuffed out quickly.

its not supply and demand. there is plenty of supply. are there any gas lines? anyone out there being forced to ration gas? nope.

it is speculation. they say they think it will go up, right then and there it goes up. but add more supply and all you hear is well, that wont affect the prices for 10 years!

It doesn't matter if its speculation or not, we still need to become energy independent in this Country and Boone will make billions on his little wind mill project.
We still have supply in this Country because nobody has tried to bring the cost of oil down, but soon the Democrats will try to put price controls on oil and we will see 10 a gallon gas. Maybe we will use our vast resources of energy in this Country when we have protests in the streets and people get cold this winter.

they have had to turn the windmills off because of really windy days, it was causing it to overload the power grid. what would happen if they couldnt all be turned off? what about tornadoes? hurricanes?

guess what happens when we depend solely on wind? with high winds they need to be shut off or get destroyed. then when there is a hurricane or tornado that destroys fields of these things, then our electricity rates will skyrocket. so then we couldnt afford to run our brand spankin new electric cars that take a full charge just to get to work, we would have no lights, no refrigeration, no air conditioning, no internet, nothing.

bright idea to make our future rely solely on one single utility!

The blades on the new ones adjust for high winds and overproducing, however you are right that this is just part of the energy we need. The Government is helping fund these windmills, but already the conservationists are complaining about them because they disturb the migration of birds.
We can't win with the left wing mob.

Wind mills in large concentrations kill too many birds. They are ugly too. It will never happen.
