Default Anyone have one Jewish and one Catholic Parent????

I always wondered if a kid with one Jewish parent and one Catcholic parent reaps the spoils of both Channukah and Christmas. That's like 9 days of presents in one month. Anyone??

Protestants count too ya know........

Just think about an possibilities with an "extended" family...

A child could have a Christian/Jewish parental unit with Hindu, Muslim, Buddhist, & Shinto grandparents...... not to mention aunts and uncles

Or you can be Puerto Rican and celebrate Catholic holidays, Christian holidays, American holidays, Puerto Rican holidays, Dominican holidays, and a holiday to celebrate that the holidays are finished.

Not only did I have a Jew mother and a Catholic father but they where divorced. You would think I would have made out like a mufuckin bandit but alas they where both broke as a joke. I did however have to sit through Passover sedar, Rosh Hashanah, had to fast on Yom Kippur and I went to my grandmas every friday night for Shabbat when I was a youngster.

I was baptized into the Catholic faith when I was born, never had a Bar Mitzvah or even went to temple. When I was getting married I finished up my Catholic sacraments so I could have a Catholic ceremony. At that point my mom (who I had lived with my whole life) disowned me and did not come to my wedding.

So its not all fun any games.

Yeah it was totally jacked up of her. The screwed up thing is she is about as Jewish as a chair. Her side of the family is super orthodox though. Its odd.
The rest of the family is awesome though, I love Jews. They really are a great bunch of people. They just do their own thing and do not try and infringe on anyone else. (Well except that whole Gaza strip thing)
