Default 3" MaxxFab wit hMagnaflow muffler dyno results

Running a GT3076R, at 401whp, did a dyno pull before and after taking the Magnaflow muffler off. Found that the drop in whp was around 2whp. That could be from anything, heatsoak, temperature outside, etc.

So, to anyone wondering, I just thought I would share my results. At 400whp, the MaxxFab 3" exhaust with Magnaflow dual tip muffler is not a restriction.

Awesome, and good to know. Just ordered mine. Do you have any clips with sound?

I actually don't but I can tell you this, its quiter than stock and doesn't pop much. I live next to a police station, thats the only reason I went with it. I started to get worried once I got this turbo becasue I thought the muffler would be a big restriction and I would have to switch exhausts. But it does its job.

I live in California...so that's why I went with it, haha. I was definitely concerned about the noise of a normal setup...but, of course, also with having a cat + a muffler. - In terms of sound, does it still sound good? I kinda like having the SRT pops.

I think it sounds pretty sick. Some people love it some people don't. It still pops but it has muffled pops. The thing I like about it is all the people that talk shit when I pull up because its so damn quiet. And then I pop the hood

I am ALL about the sleeperness here in CA, so that sounds perfect to me. Are you also running a cat? I'm guessing not. - Hopefully having the cat (hi-flow, however) + muffler won't be horrible. I'll have to do the same dyno testing to see. Then again, I'm still running the stock turbo for now.

I am running the high flow cat as well. With the cat and muffler its awsome. You can pass emissions, not get a sound ticket, and lose no horsepower.

If you look at the cat before you put it on, there is not much restriction, its more or less a fake cat

This was going to 6,000 rpm on a molested stage 3 setup

Just had to have a local muffler shop weld in a 12" resonator, I was a little worried about power loss till I read this. Cop didn't like the "popping" noise coming from the exhaust, didn't say anything about it being loud or a SEE, lol! Let me off with a warning but not a friendly one at all. So I figured this was the cheap way around that, pleasantly surpirsed actually. I do miss the gurgles and snaps but if it keeps this one dick (had the exhaust on car for 4 years now no problem) cop from "impounding" my car which he said he would do if he saw "this little piece of shit car" on the streets again popping.
