Default 2005 National Meet Pricing and Specifics! YOU WANT THIS INFO!

Ok guys, after a lot of searching and crunching the numbers, I've come up with the price list for the 2005 SRT Nationals. It's not going to be cheap, but I'm not going to let what happened to me last year happen again. Here's last year's pricing.

Track Day: $60 + $10 per spectator
Car Show: $30 + $10 per spectator

This year is not that much more, but there's some changes. Registration will open on the SRTNationals.com website THURSDAY JULY 15th. I could open it now, but I'm having problems with the new server, so the site sits on the old server for now. Well, here's the pricing:

Track Day and Car Show for SRToc Members: $175

This includes ONE Driver ticket to the Drivers Education School on Friday, ONE Drivers Ticket for Hot Lapping and Time Trial competition on Saturday (does not include Transponder rental), ONE ticket for the Car Show, and FREE Admision to the SRT Owners Club Party on Saturday night. Also includes ONE Spectator ticket to the Grand Bayou Road Race on Sunday.

Track Day and Car Show for NON SRToc Members: $200

Includes everything above EXCEPT Admission to the SRT Owners Club Party on Saturday Night. YOU NEED TO BE AN SRToc MEMBER TO GO TO THE PARTY!!!

Drivers Education and Car Show: $135 for SRToc Members, $160 for Non members

This gets you entry to the track on Friday to participate in the driving school, Entry into the track to watch the Time Trial competition on Saturday (see below for more info), and entry into the car show.

Time Trials and Car Show: $115 for SRToc Members, $135 for Non members

This gets you entry to the track on Friday to watch the driving school, Entry into the Time Trial competition on Saturday (see below for more info), and entry into the car show. DOES NOT INCLUDE TRANSPONDER RENTAL!

Car Show ONLY: $50

Includes entry to the track from Friday morning to Sunday evening. Spectator to the Driving School on Friday, the Hot Lapping and Time Trial competition on Saturday, and Spectator to the Grand Bayou Road Race on Sunday. Your car is also entered to be Judged in the car show. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE PART OF THE NATIONAL MEET. If you decide to come, you need to be a part of the car show. You can park your car outside the gates of the show, but you will not be an OFFICIAL Participant of the SRT Nationals.

Friday Night Bracket Drags: $25

Entry to the Friday Night drag race. We will have our own bracket with a trophy and cash payout to the winner and a trophy to the runner-up. This is EXTRA for EVERYONE.

I think that's VERY fair pricing. For something like I'm planning, you'd expect to pay A TON more than $175. Here's what's planned:

Friday, April 8th, 2005: SRT Nationals Driver Education. This is the same school that we put on last year, but with some MAJOR changes. The morning sessions will be with instructors in the car, the afternoon sessions will be solo or with instructors, depending on experience. There will be classroom sessions in the morning for EVERYONE. Also, it's time to get the cars in and start getting ready for the car show.

Saturday, April 9th 2005: SRT Nationals Time Trial Competition and Car Show. This is how the Time Trial Competition will work. We will run on the ½ Mile "Peanut" at No Problem Raceway. You will get 3 or 5 Laps to make your best time. ALL 3 or 5 LAPS WILL BE INCLUDED IN YOUR FINAL TIME! The person with the quickest 3 or 5 Lap time will win a trophy and the title "SRT Driver of the Year". You will also win FREE ADMISSION to the 2006 SRT Nationals! The driver with the quickest SINGLE lap will with a Trophy. YOU NEED TO RENT OR PROVIDE YOUR OWN TRANSPONDER TO ENTER THIS EVENT! Transponder rental will be provided at a $15 charge.

We will split this up into a morning session and an afternoon session. In the morning, you will get a chance to learn the peanut and make some laps with 2 other drivers on the track with you. This will be a lead/follow type of thing. We will let you guys out 3 at a time, but separated by 5 seconds. The idea is to catch the person in front of you and learn the track. After lunch, competition starts. During the competition, you will be on the track BY YOURSELF! This is a cross between SCCA SOLO 1 and SOLO 2. Think of it as an Autocross on a road course without all the cones.

Bring your Paintball guns and gear with you as well, there's a really nice wooded area near the track for some paintball action.

Saturday Night, April 9th: SRT Owners Club Appreciation Party. I'm looking at getting Last Call Nightclub (www.lastcallclub.com) in Thibodaux, LA (about 25 minutes from the track) With a LIVE band and having an Owners Club Appreciation Party. Being an Owners Club member will get you FREE Admission to the party and possibly a few free drinks. I'll be drunk as hell, so chances are I'll be buying QUITE a few rounds. This is going to be a freaking BLAST!!!! I'll also try to provide transportation to and from the hotel and/or track.

Sunday, April 10th, 2005: SRT Nationals Grand Bayou Road Race. This is a FULL BLOWN, wheel to wheel action road race. Your car must pass a tech inspection (i.e., you need a cage) and you must be licensed to race in this sort of race (NASA, SCCA, etc.). You will need a pretty much full blown race car to run in this. This is not limited to SRT only vehicles. You can race anything you want, as long as you pass tech and are licensed to do so. Think of guys like neonracer88. He races an Accord, but has an SRT. He's bringing the Accord to race and the SRT to play. Cost to race in the Grand Bayou race is $75 plus transponder rental.

Well guys, there it is. All planned out. There's still some things that I need to finish up on, but for the most part, that's your 2005 National Meet in a nut shell. PLEASE ask all questions in this thread. I will try to answer them as soon as possible. I will be working on the website over the next few days to get everything up on there. This is going to be AWESOME!!!!

Hell, I might even throw something in for the SRToc Region with the most members that show up! That should be pretty easy for Florida, seeing as they have the most members. But I think Texas will probibly end up taking the win. I guess we'll just have to see if the Mid West can match them!

It is the internet so anything I say may not be true. Anytime I mention that I have a modification to my car or that I raced my car, it is merely to boost my low self esteem and make me feel like I have a bigger penis. Therefore you have nothing that you can use against me DCX.
