Mr. Norm will also be on site both Saturday and Sunday along with the Sox & Martin Display and more. I think it would be fun in the Drag Racing to have a class that we match up the old muscle with the new muscle (Like the final run in Fast & Furious except without the train, the wreck, import). The announcer could really have some fun with this and pump up your show for 06.
Post your ideas and I will make it happen.
Thanks,
Chris McGraw

Man you obviously haven't seen 2fast 2 furious. New school drives home the old school cars after winning the pink slips.
Seriously though, that would be great getting a bunch of the different generations of fun cars all together and duke it out for fun. This should be a must for next year.
I have a 1973 440ci, Naturally aspirated - 750 Holley, 727 automatic with 4.30 gears on 9" Super Stock Slicks. If you race me heads up and beat me I will refund your Show/Race entry fee.
Sign-Up starts now and I will post the times for each run during the Exhibition Runs on Sat & Sun and will post the results back here after the event with the times.

There is some confusion on the pre-entry on our discussion board. It states that no entries excepted at the track and all must pre-enter. On the Drag Racing page it talks on the schedule about new entries and spectator gates so they are wanting to know if they can wait.
Thanks,
Chris
Q: How do I register for the event?
A: A driver or spectator should become familiar with the message board before registering. The reason for the message board recommendation is that we have so much packed in during the 3 days of the SRT Nationals that we want everyone to be up-to-date on all the schedules, information, and announcements that are disseminated via the message board prior to the event. Otherwise, if we didn't insist folks were up-to-date before the event, we'd never be able to smoothly pull off everything that's going on at the event. It is in your best interest to regularly visit the message baord, you may not notice changes made on the Web site, and that may become a problem for you at the event.
Registering is very easy. We have put together a great registration page that walks you through the registration process and provides you with an itemized list of your choices, costs, and car numbers. You will be signed up for the 'registrants-only' message board during the registration process. Every single driver, spectator, guest, friend, family member, etc. must be registered to get into the track's facility. Once you have completed the Registration information, a username and password (that you have chosen) will be emailed to you. Use that login ID to purchase the tickets and events that you would like to participate in. Until an event is payed for (the roadcourse for example) you do not have a spot in that event saved for you.
VERY IMPORTANT: You must register online and pay before you get to the event! THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION OR PAYMENTS ACCEPTED AT THE EVENT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES! It may seem strict, but due to the complex nature of this event, we cannot make changes on the fly once the event commences. We hope you understand.

Not everybody will drag race both days, those who will be skipping the friday event will need to pass tech on Saturday. There will be no payments or signup at the gate. However, the gates will be opened on Saturday for prepaid spectators and participants.
It's all to avoid the mess we had last year, probably half the people at the event just drove past the front gate, which is not only dangerous from an insurance standpoint, it raises the costs for the people who actually registered.
I know that there has to be some of your group coming. Show the support so both can benefit. Let's do a roll call, if you are coming to the Mopar Weekend post here.
