[SRT4Real]

Dan,

Driving to work this morning got me to thinking about all the fun I've had with the SRT-4 over the past 5 years, much of it due to you.

Thank you for:

1) Installing Stage 1, and introducing me to a dyno. How cool was that.
2) Installing the "poor man's" sway bars
3) Replacing my hideously worn Rex inserts with Prothane inserts, including the tranny mount
4) Noticing my broken motor mount bolt before I went drag racing
5) Introducing me to the hemi plugs, and other cost effective performance items
6) Endless tips on drag racing (and I'm still learning...)
7) Helping me install the FMIC, which turned out to be not quite "plug 'n play"
8) Fixing my installs gone wrong
9) Installing Stage 3 with toys. Wow. Definitely beyond my skill level.
10) Supervising install of my 2nd tranny where techs missed at least 3 things putting it back together
11) Finding me a nearly pristine 3rd tranny with LSD, and gettting it installed
12) Diagnosing my broken timing belt when I was dead in the water
13) Installing my Tokico adjustable shocks. Traction, sweet traction!
14) Fixing lots of little "gotchas" at the track, like the brake booster and charge pipe popping loose, etc.
15) New floor mats and a better boost gauge, just for the heck of it
16) Teaching me lots about the car. Some of it I even remember.

Thanks for all the good times, Dan, and most of all, thanks for being a good friend.

no problem tom, i'll take this space to say that although i did most of the work listed above i will give credit for the 3rd trans solely to david lee, the gf own3d me that night so he just said take off and do what ya gotta do. At any rate, the car and its driver ha ve come a long ways....now i need to get ya to that elusive 11.99 or better....i still remember the quest for 12s on the stock turbo...we were so close then the age of the car srtarted to catch up with us. You know whats crazier....the car has what 90k miles, its an 03, you are the only owner and it still runs like a champ save the few major repairs. Hopefully if and when you get tired of the car.....like i told ya im first in line regardless of the miles

thank you for being a good friend, cant count the many times ya looked out for me through some trying times. Its been over 5 years...damn time went by quick

i'm not as close to dan as you but i've knew him since 99 i think when i got my first neon, when the srt4 wasn't even a thought, back when we use to have the state wide meet every year, damn those were good times. remember Glen and Ian, man i wish those guys were still in the neon scene, they were on the same level as you dan, man i miss those guys, not in a way or anything
