Tampa Bay has 1 Less Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep dealer...
It was like a bomb, the news was spreading like wildfire that this dealership had filed bankruptcy and was going to restructure so that they could once again do business. This was 2 weeks ago and in that restructuring they layed off 18 employees in hopes to continue doing business. Well Top brass within Chrysler did not like the actions of this dealer and as of today Friday they are no longer allowed to sell cars, parts or service as they have been stripped of their franchise. This comes as a major blow to alot of us locals who depended on them to keep the Mopar parts at a reasonable price as the others in the area are gouging their way profitable. It it with sadness i will in a few hours make my last trip to the Bob Wilson parts department, they all are out of jobs and must close their doors come 530pm. What does this mean? well all parts and vehicles left in their inventory will be sold to Jerry Ulm, Brandon and Ferman per Chrysler's orders and the property will remain vacant until someone steps up to buy the remants of the company at which point Chrysler may consider granting the new owners the franchise again IF they even do it. The employees are already in doomsday mode so dont bother calling...they just dont care. I wasnt going to say anything but i can honestly tell you this is more bad than good.....now Jerry Ulm has full control of Tampa as far as sales, parts and service goes leaving Brandon Dodge Chrysler Jeep (they bought Courtesy's Chrysler/Jeep franchise) servicing central/southern hillsborough and Ferman Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep @ Cypress Creek servicing northern hillsborough/central pasco while Ferman Dodge/Chrysler/Jeep @ Plant City to service east hillsborough/polk county. Meaning that all three entities will now take full advantage of having one less powerhouse to compete against...major players being Jerry Ulm and Ferman with Brandon trailing in third.
Times are getting rougher....

Which ones, the 350z guys? I talked to Justin about it some time ago, and I think it would be a great idea. Maybe we should plan for a date in July. I've never been there before, but the park is close to where I live so I might drive there today to check it out.
