Default Sunshine drag strip today, 9/30/2009

I haven't drag raced for a long time, and really need to learn how to launch correctly on slicks. Haven't mustered better than a 1.9 60' on them, which sucks.

Would normally go to Bradenton, but I have tonight free instead of Thursday night. Hope to see a few of you out there. Sorry for the short notice.

Tom

Tom, post your times (unless they are complete garbage and you don't want to).

Made two attempted runs. Both times, I got a CEL (P0335), either before, or just after doing my burnout. Then the car went into limp mode, wouldn't rev beyond 2200 rpm, and I had to coast down the track.

I thought something was up with my WOT box, because it's been activating intermittently by itself.

Didn't have a lookup table for CELs, so I went home. Turns out it was the Cam Position Sensor Circuit. Uh oh. I've seen this before. My short ram was loose, and it apparently smacked against the Cam Position Sensor when I started to burn out both times. BAM! Limp mode.

Oh, well. I'll try again soon.

Hey, Mitch! Good to see you, too.

Dunno about Dead Hookers. I hate having the slowest car there.

Hi, Tim. Probably won't go to Dead Hookers. Thinking of going to Bradenton next Thursday, though.
