well I am seriously contemplating a move from sunny San Diego to Orlando area. I need to know what home/apartment prices are and how the surounding areas are.
it all depends on the area you want to live in. whether you want to be IN orlando, or outside of Orlando which some are. In Orlando, you'll run into a lot more tourist, rent near the airport is pretty cheap. but again, you have to be careful, some places are complete crap.
you can get a 1/1 for as cheap as $500, and up to $800 in some areas. Depends on what you get (washer/dryer, garage, size, ect).
I live outside of Orlando, so I miss all the madness half the time, and actually like it. I'm sure others will put their .02 in
Why?!?!? there are no jobs here... well i shouldnt say that.. Being a student there is no jobs. I got to school here and does not compare to Ft.lauderdale of miami. Ive been to S. Cali and you'll miss it alot.

LOL, I'm an old guy compared to most of you (35) and the job is a 10% boost in pay. before I moved to SD i lived in tampa area for 4 years Miami for 2 and the keys for about a year. I am really trying to get back east to my family
Where in Orlando (general vicinity) will you be working? If we know this then we can suggest areas to look at and areas to avoid.
This is a good question to ask. I live in Hunters Creek area (RIGHT next to gatorland and where ALL the actions gonna be on saturday nights when you wanna get your race fix on ) and i can tell you usual rent around here goes from about 600-1000 (one, two three, ect bedrooms obviously plays a part on where you fall in that)
I love it on this side of town. Personally in my opinion if i had to pick a side of town this would be it.
