OK, so I wanted to keep this post on this thread so the BBQ thread can stay positive.
A civic owner just posted this on the TR BBQ thread. Basically he just wants to invite himself and lord knows who else. Why doesn't he start his own meet?
I really need to study now...especially after this somewhat annoying post.

Default Where was everybody!

I cruised over to the Tampa Causeway(from Orlando) and saw about 200 Hondas, 50 bikes, then 5-6 SRT's and they're the ones hitting the road at only 1am? What's up with that? Bed time? Or did I miss something after that?

1am on the causeway isn't the best place to be. Last week they raided that spot at 1:30 with undercovers & tazers & helicopter...we don't need that. idk where everyone else went afterwards.

You got there late. We were out since 8pm. We started off at Sonics off Hillsborough, then we went to AppleBee's, then we hit the Causeway.

I'm sure me having a wife and all with me and not living with my parents my bedtime isn't 1am. The Causeway isn't the best place to be hanging around late hours. Too many things go down. It's not even the best place to race.
Some people have work the next day so that also plays a part unto why some leave early.

The two red SRT-4's you passed I was driving one of them and you were behind me at first. The other red SRT-4 and I went to do a couple of runs then split to go home.

From what I saw you have a very nice and clean SRT-4. Show up early next time your out this way on a Saturday. Like I said we start off early 8-8:30 at Sonics and we stay there until we get kicked out. Then after that the only other place close by to hang out is the Causeway so we go there.

Thanks for the info, I'll try that next time. Thanks for the comp. I was wondering how all those people and cars could hang out with not a cop in sight. We were wondering if there might be undercover there.....

Lots of cops in sight on I-4 though...

No problem! Yeah a few months ago, a few Honda's/Acura's decided to hop on the Causeway off the side parking road everytime the light turned red... they would line up and go. Well little did everyone know there was a ton of undercover's mixed within the groups of cars. All races were caught by camera from a helicopter and all those individuals were arrested.

They do undercover stings there a lot. Too many people getting killed, too many accidents.

The cops do come rolling through the parking lots (grassy area) in their cruisers sometimes just to see what's going on. But haven't bothered us at all.

There's undercovers out there and its hard to even pin-point them.

isn't that entrapment to be going around instigating races or do the jackasses instigate with the undercover cops?

oh ok, well then those idiots are at fault. I NEVER instigate a race unless it is with someone I know. But even if cops do instigate it and break the law I'm sure they have a way out and you don't

The dummies that are racing there seem like they might be more than happy to do everything for the cops (race each other right in front of them with no instigation needed). In fact they're doing everything other than taking their own photos for evidence!

We have a lot of tuner cars in Orlando, but there isn't a place where people gather with there cars in the numbers that I saw on the Causeway. Old Town in Kissimmee is probably the closest to that and it's so "touristy" that few SRT-4 owners go there. We have Thursdays at Wendy's on International Drive and downtown Orlando on Saturday night, but you're begging for Police trouble there. I was stopped for doing nothing a few weeks ago. They just wanted to do a drug and weapon sweep of my car. My car is pretty flash though with the yellow paint, loud side exit exhaust and huge letters that say SRT-4 all down the side....lol.
