About the PIP thing you have a choice on to either drop PIP or keep it but by the first of the year insurance companys will be not offering it at all so once you renew your policy you wont have that option. You will be required to have BI (bodily Injury) all though that was in the last meeting that I was in but I got a memo saying that they were rethinking the dropping PIP thing and the date was extending to JAN 1st. The memo didn't give much information so I will be finding out more info when I go to work in the morning.
might be gone...i think most company's are thinking about it...so what's the big deal bout it anyways, sorry, don't know much about insurance
PIP covers your medical bills if you are injured in a collision. Under a No Fault law, your PIP coverage is designated to cover your medical expenses, regardless of fault in an accident. PIP also travels everywhere with you so if you are in a friends car and they get into an accident and you get hurt. You would have to file a PIP claim into your auto insurance. PIP also covers if you get hurt while working on your car or if you slam you finger in the door PIP covers that.
So if we dont have PIP it will be your medical insurance covering your medical bills in a collision.
