So my car has a really bad vibration any 80mph+ if your cruising. You don't really feel it with the gas pedal smashed to the ground. You only feel it cruising 80mph+... steering wheel shakes and feels pretty loose up front.

I'm trying to figure it out. The car had a wheel balance the same week I felt it. It's been a good 2 months now. Problem was still there but not as bad (atleast it was me thinking that since it got a wheel balance job done).

So could it be alignment? Bolts getting loose on my motor mounts/tranny mount? Thinking the worst here... bent axle?

I'd say check all the bolts on the wheels, then check all mounts, lose maybe bent. Usually a shake indicates a bad balance, bad tire (happens at my job, we get a bad tire from the factory), bent rim (oval rim), um, & then check alignment. Somethin could be out causing a vibration. Last thing would be check the axles, could be done while checking the alignment. Ozz my have more input being he's done it longer than me being at tires plus.

Ah, okay. I'll check the lug nuts when Cheryl gets home and I'll check the upper motor mount. I'll check the lower engine mount and tranny mount tomorrow. I know for a fact my control arms/bushings looked worn last time I saw them like they need to be replaced. I think the car may need an alignment but I want to eliminate possibilities.

Once again your wrong old man. It sneezes because of old man odor. The car is allergic to its own owner.

Okay guys... upper motor mount was tight as can been. Checked my lug nuts and they are tight as can be.

So that eliminates (2) things. Tomorrow I'm going to try to check the lower motor mount and the tranny mount.

I just find it wierd that at 80mph+ cruising the steering wheel shakes and the car feels a bit loose in the front end.
