did you have to cut anything to get it to fit or splice any wires? what did the old boost gauge say you were spiking and holding?

I believe Autometer mechanical gauges are a direct fit. So he probably didn't have to do anything except transfer the bulb into the new gauge and hook up the hose that was on the old gauge to the new gauge.
