Just a suggestion for you guys, since even FLSRTOC site before this one didn't pan out, nothing negative intended at all so please read and give it some thought as I have mentioned this in the past when FLSRTOC was around.
I'm sure the objective of the MyFloridaSRT site is to bring (gather) all members around the whole state of Florida but here's one thing that I mentioned before with the FLSRTOC site, as I was a member there and quickly lost interest, as well as many others in other areas of FL... I see no difference in either site at this time. I say this because...
- Majority of the members are from South Florida
- Staff members are all South Florida owners
- Missing County sections for the rest of Florida, all I see is Southern Counties and a section for the North Florida owners
My recommendations is that you find elgible individuals in different regions within the state of Florida, that a more then capable of moderator as well as organization, bringing in members. As well as whoever is in charge of the site take the time to make it appealing to other members throughout Florida besides the South FL owners.
Just suggestion guys, no harm intended. I applaud whoever decided to keep this going after the collapsing of FLSRTOC.

our site is open to ALL of florida, but right now the majority of the site is tailored as such. when we get more members from different regions we will add more sections for them. Believe me, we want members from all regions of florida. and speaking on the moderators, i believe that the mods we have are doing an excellent job of maintaining peace and order while not being nazis. We would deffinately appreciate if you could spread the word in your area

Oh I know! But that same thing was how FLSRTOC was, tailored to South Florida owners although it was naturally opened to all areas of Florida... it didn't feel that way. The sections need to be made first to attract more members. You currently don't have a section for my area or even surrounding/residing county, so why should I join? If by what your saying you need a good amount of members in an area before even creating a section for them. I'm not doubting the current moderators/staff at all. Just saying if you want to attract more members on there then you need someone from different major areas around Florida as a moderator as well. For instance, say you make a section for Orange/Seminole County (Orlando) and you have some South FL moderator monitor that section... to me that's not by any means useful. People get detered from the fact all moderators/staff is from South Florida and are on a pretty much buddy system. Not of what traits, character, qualities they up hold. I know from experience that spreading the word in any area, including mine will only last so long. Its like FLSRTOC and even my experience as a Staff member on SRTC... the members see little to no activity regarding them and their area... so now their accounts become ghosts. They never come back, even if its a better site then what they have been on. It becomes a lack of interest.

Thats up to the central and north florida people though, the site was created for all of florida, a lot of people from south florida joined, not so many from central and north florida did. how are we going to talk about stuff that includes those areas of florida if we are not from there?
I would but if nothing occurs then my account will turn into a ghost account like it did with FLSRTOC. I'll join and take my chances though. But you Chris know what I am talking about.

No its not up to the Central and North Florida people. Its not going to work that way hence why it didn't work with FLSRTOC. You need atleast (1) individual from each area to join and start the process. A lot of people from South Florida joined as the majority of you are friends or know eachother, same went for the FLSRTOC. South Florida owner(s) created it, reason you will find the majority on there being from S. FL. You can't expect other regions to join without any other sort of support. But your last sentence makes sense to the point it goes with my point. How are you going to expect people to join and not have an area already for them? Yes, your not from my area... like I'm not from yours. So in reality what would I have to talk about by joining the site? Hope you see my point. If its for ALL of Florida then make it that way.
We missed the South Florida guys at this past Sunday's SRT-4 Showdown. If you guys came out we would've easily went over 100 SRT-4s. If we do it again next year I hope you all can drive up and represent.
