I have to say that although it wasnt my favorite job i did enjoy my benefits for the better part of 2.5years aswell as the flexible schedule. Due to the economy and slow vehicle sales my former employer decided to make cuts throughout the country. I unfortunately am one of those affected, i have no hard feelings towards any of them. I did my job above and beyond yet kissed no ones ass to get to where i was. I appreciate everything i learned but its not time to cut my losses and move on. I was offered a mediocre severance package which im reluctant to accept and im just so in shock over it all cause i thought i would atleast have made the cut of those staying. Time to start fresh again.
Last time i was unemployed for an extended period of time just after 9/11 i vowed not to end up in the situation i was in then. Unemployed, broke and homeless so with that said ive begun examing my strategies for staying afloat while i find another employer. So far ive come up with a few feasable alternatives but ultimately i have a 2-3mo window to get everything sorted out. I please ask that if any of you are aware of any openings in the Hillsborough, Pinellas and souther pasco area to please let me know. My roommate just left today with his gf on a week vacation so i'll wait till his return to break the news and so far a few of my friends have gotten the news. Im no bum,im not lazy and im not here to stirr up drama/sympathy im just merely here letting everyone know that although ive enjoyed some good times these past 5 years im once again finding myself having to desperately seek employement due to unforseen circumstances beyond my control. I appreciate everyone whos been there for me, helped me out and sough my services. I appreciate you all and am very greatfull for kind hearted folks like yourselves. feel free to drop me a pm if you dont wish to post here and im done venting.

trying to stay positive, gave a few close friends a call and will more than likely end meeting with long time friend tomorrow whos offering to help me out big time.
Id like to disclose more about my previous employer but once i sign the severance paperwork im legally bound to confidentiality. I wish i could be bitter but i knew it was coming and those close to me knew i was trying to find an out before it got to this. Main concern now is getting all my basic bills paid:
rent
cell
storage
car insurance
gas card
the rest i can work on those are the vitals though. Im fortunate to own both my car but i will be putting one up for sale ASAP

Hey man sorry to hear that! I think we are going to be hearing more and more stories like this with the economy the way it is! We were informed a few weeks back that Orange County Public Schools have to cut something like 19 million dollars out of next years budget so there will be MASSIVE cuts county wide.

yeah a few friends have offered some avenues for me to take and im greatfull for those who are actively trying to help me. Just so tough going from knowing you have a job to get up for the next day to nothing...
im gonna take the next 3days off as planning days, getting news papers, getting any employement guides and also crusing any local job listing sites online so that monday i can start fresh with a new game. Tonight i plan to spend some time with SRT4real in hopes to keep myself occupied and keepin my head up. Suddenly my plans to propose to my gf this summer, plans to go to Dominican Republic to visit family and the few car related activities are looking less likely.
Saddest of all in light of this i recently found my oldest sister (my dad's daughter from his marriage before my mom) and shes in Orlando this week, i vowed to keep my driving to a minimum but i will atleast make the trek to see her i just have to plan the trip so that im makin the most of the gas/time im there. Im so glad i found her as shes the only link to my dad that i know/trust. We had a brief conversation about the man and interestingly enough....23years later since i last saw him....hes like a deacon/preacher somewhere
Wow, that's like getting a punch in the gut, & then spitting on you & walking away. Sorry to hear this. It's happening all over the place. I just got my job, & already they're cutting hours throughout the board cause not generating enough profit, so can't afford payroll. It's a scary thought now a days.
