ive had my car for about a month give or take. and i ran a best time of a 14.440 my first time at the track? is that suppose to be good or is that horrible? WILL take any advice. Thanks
Work on your 60'. It was the difference for be between a 14.1 and a 13.6. Anything 2.1 or under should lead to pretty decent times. I pulled a 1.9 on my fastest street tire run ever and ran a 13.4. I wasn't very modded though. ID you have a s1, WOT shift from 1st to 2nd. THat's what helped me.
For the first time that isn't horrible, i've seen first timers not break the 14's. I wouldn't buy any mods. Just go to the track and practice launching and your shifts. If you only get a 2.4 or 2.5 then change something on your launch. Raise the rpms adjust the clutch differently or the gas pedal differently. I would do that before anything else. No point in spending a few grand in mods just to barely break into the 13's. And I really wouldn't recommend WOT shifting, SPECIALLY if you have never done it before. No point in risking the life of your drivetrain just to gain maybe a tenth.
