I wanted to invite/let you know that there is an autoX at gainsville on Sunday Oct. 23, 2005. Gainsville has a sweet course!! Maybe we could meet and cruise down there. Please post any questions or suggestions.

this is the course these are the directions
cost: working on it (I think its around $20-$25 but I am still working on it)
time: be there by 08:00'ish for tech. (to allow plenty of time, normally we start running by 9:00-9:30 (10:00 at the latest))

What is need to run? ... Will I need to bring a helmet? I went Auto Crossing in my dads Viper and they made us wear helmets ... Any other info would be great!
Glad to see you will be able to make this one randy, i finally won't be the lonely srt4, i've been looking forward to this event since it's been scheduled, i'll see everyone there
If you have a helmet you should bring it. If you dont have one they have "loaner" helmets (please wash your hair!!!) you can use. Your battery must be secured, when you step on the brake pedal it must build pressure, you cant have anything in the floor (no floor matts) that could get in the way of you pressing the pedals. I like to go with about a 1/2 tank of gas to lower weight. If you havent done it before, I garantee (sp) that its the most fun you can have in your car!!!! Its like the rush of the 1/4 mile track but it last near a minute (depending on the track). I have never run at the gainsville course, but I have attended an event there.
