Default Funny thing at the track....

I was observing this Stage 2 black SRT 4 at the track last night and on his final run the bolt popped out of the top motor mount. Apparently, this gave the engine just enough movement to melt a hole in the green and blue lines. Ouch! Luckily Dan was there to help out. It was like a MacGyver episode fixing both those lines with minimal supplies and tools. I'm sure the owner was very grateful for his help. The cars best time was a 13.7. Two Mustangs were lightly toasted last night.

I heard the car made it home, but there is definitely a big exhaust leak and it threw a code about the O2 sensor.

I thought it was funnier when the intercooler sprayer on the same car popped a hose and drenched Dan. He walked around all night with that, "I'm so excited, I just PEED my pants!" look.

Dan should have asked the Diablo owner if he could sit in his car.

Sorry to hear that the owner of the black SRT-4 had so many gremlins last night. Hopefully, things will be straightened out for the next try.

Best run from a certain Silver SRT-4 (mine) wa 13.641 @ 99.57. Couldn't break 100 mph in 5 runs. Florida weather ownz us.

Did a certain Blue SRT-4 ever break the 13's barrier? He was at 14.02 when I left.

Black SRT 4 in question was taken into tire place to get tires rotated today. Two of the tires had nails in them. Poor guy, it's been a long few days for him. I think this afternoon he's crawling under to find that exhaust leak.

Just got a call. The owner crawled under the car and found the cat had burned through the O2 sensor wire (explains the code it threw) and there is a bolt missing from the O2 housing to turbo connection (explains loud exhaust leak). Anyone know what an O2 sensor runs?

The way the ED exhaust is made, the O2 connected to the cat is on the other side than in the stock position so the wires have to stretch across part of the cat. Explains why it burnt through.

Can anyone pm me Raptorred's cell number???

Hell just have him take it to the dealership thats mod friendly... Would be easier on cheaper on him. I know this warranty crap is coming about, but a bolt coming off the mount is not something the can attribute to stage 2. Nor the exhaust coming loose.

Well, the exhaust has been replaced with the ED 3" to the turbo. I'll have him call the dealer about prices.

It's a stage 2 car and it ran the 13.7 trapping around mid to low 90's.
