Well, considering that most of the people that consider themselves car people in this area are idiots. "Some" was an understatement.

No, The track prep is terrible and I've seen too many people break things like oil pans (coughBENcough). I went to Bradenton 1 time when I had my SRT-4. I hit my goal and never went back. I'm more of a road race/autox guy even though I haven't had a break from work in 5 years to compete regularly. I miss my SCCA days in California.

You know you dont race because you lack the driver mod, quit lying to all of us younguns
So the goat got a new ported TB and a hell of a street tune today. He changed my "top speed limit" from 155 to 400. My fans come on earlier up until about 35mph, skip shift eliminated, that anti theft bull shit that put my car in "lock down" mode earlier has been eliminated, timing, knocking, etc was all tuned up. I can't remember everything he did, but we went on 4 WOT test runs, and he was fiddling with his laptop for an hour until it was all perfect. The ported TB feels so much more responsive and the car is 10x more fun to drive.
I had an issue today with my keyfob. For some reason it quit working, so I went to go unlock the doors manually, and the car went into "lock down" mode. I went to go start it, and it died 3 seconds later and wouldn't crank back over. The dash said "hot wire start". So basically, if your key doesn't work, or you lock them inside and you have to manually open your doors, you're screwed. I had to reset my battery, and now my key is broken. I had him disable that BS because that's rediculous. That, along with skip shift makes me scratch my head about GM's thinking process.
