The last thing you should be worried about is VTEC!! Wait till the turbo spools
Next time your having a bad day imagine this:
You are a siamese twin.
Your brother, atttached to your shoulder is gay.
You are not.
He has a date coming over tonite.
You only have one ass!!!
damn ben thats pretty good 60ft that must hook decent on the track
Thanks, And that was my best time, i only got 3 runs in 1st was a 8.8, then 8.9 then 10.1 lol didn't warm up the tires before the 3rd run and just couldn't get traction..
anthony you need to let me run that car man. i can say 8.6 easy out of your car from what you wwere telling me
Yea bro i was able to nock out a 9.0 with a 2.3 60ft @84mph.
Seconde run was a 2.4 60ft 9.1et @ 82mph....
It was kinda hard launching the car with the new TB, i only got to do 2 runs so i wasnt able to practice launching too much. Also im having a problem with the TB its like sticking at RPMS and wont decrease throttle when down shifting, it just stays where its at. and between 1-2000 RPM its bogging on me. Could it have anything to do with me changing the spark plugs after my tune? autolites, .50 gap.......
All in all the car ran good, im thinking 8.6 for sure alex on a good launch.

with ur set up u should be running a 35 gap on ur plugs... and reset ur computer since u just put the throttle body... let the computer learn that its getting alot more air at idel so the IAC sensor can adjust to the proper idle

Alright well im going to have to re gap the plugs. They came with a .50 gap already so ill just push them to like .20 and then re gap. Also, me and alex have already reset the PCM and me and ben did it twice at the track because it was giving me shit.... i think the car is also pulling timing so im going to look into a map clamp. Anyone running a map clamp now???? Also Frank, are there any DR's that i can put on stock wheels? Or can you look into a set of two wheels with dr's for me?

you dont need a map clamp if ur running an safc man.... if u were pulling timing it would have nothing to do with the rpm hanging up... when u reset the pcm the idle is still going to stick untill u put enough miles on the computer for it to learn all the sensors... you cant just reset it and bam its perfect... everything has to callibrate to work correctly... trust me ive had the same prob numerous times.... the IAC sensor is calibrated to the stock throttle opening... ur running a 62mm now so the IAC still thinks the throttle plate has to be in the same spot as the stock one so the TPS sensor puts the throttle plate in that spot.... idle rpm on the stock throttle body could = 1,500-2,000 rpm with the bigger throttle plate

I have the mpx 62mm throttle body. when I installed it with the ported intake manifold I had the battery unplugged anyway. Once i started it the idle was at 1k-1,100rpm for about a week. Just give it some time to get used to the air flow like he said. Every once in a while I will get a weird idle now, but that could be my tps also.

i have a 65mm on my car with the ported intake mani... every once in a while the idle will hang but u just gotta reset everything and ur good to go... i feel ur pain lol... small price to pay tho for really good throttle response

you might wanna buy new spark plugs and just gep them, i regapped the ones already in my car and it made me have spark blowout...
