No boost till 1000 miles??? thats retarded, boost it man... take it to redline a few times. Ive fully tuned cars with less than 40 miles on the motor and have never had a single problem. The guy that welds on the nsx is Rob, he is good. He has welded a few things for me.

I agree... run it hard to redline a few times but not with likw 30 psi. more like 10 or 15. just enough to set the rings properly, your pretty much trying to get the rings to expand as much as they can into the bore without gouging into the bore itself (massive failure due to some sort of oil starvation) If you can do that you can get a super tight seal in your bores. which = more power. OR if your hardcore, you can affix a vacuum pump to your crankcase to apply like a -30 hg/in of vacuum Against your rings, that works for top fuel cars and drag cars.

That is good for it. Just don't go doing a bunch of back to back pulls. Give it plenty of time to cool down.

Gonna be a while before I get it on the dyno man. I can't wait for that though because I think I can get some good power out of adjusting the cams. As far as the oil change you should have done it already. You are supposed to do it at 100 miles and then at 1000 switch to synthetic. Also for the first few changes you should cut open your oil filter and check for metal shavings.

I hope this guy does do good for and its worth this wait... im about ready to yank my car out of there due to not being able to contact him and it takes so flipping long....

I'm only responding because you mentioned my name, for one you need to explain the full story as to why it's been there that long..according to your post you only paid them 1k to remove your motor, dissasemble your entire motor, reassemble etc.. and this was 10 days ago? There not going to rebuild your car or buy parts if you dont have money!! So you should of said the reason my car has been there for 3 months is because I did not have any money. Did you ask for a time line? You just dropped it off and asked him to fix it.. If you had the funds and told him that you need it by xxx day and time it would of been a different story.

no no no wait a minute. We told him we had the money. All he asked for 400 down to get the job going... then as he got into it and found the problems we gave him more money. HE never told us he wasnt going to work on our car or anything like that. We never told him we didn't have the money. I'm not going to shop I don't know anything about and drop 3k in someones hands and walk away. Especially when we can never get ahold of them. On the 4th the motor was sitting on the shop floor in pieces... when we gave him more money we asked if he orded the parts yet.. he informed us he never did.... so we asked well what needs to happened to get the car moving to get fixed. He informs us that """ well i just need to order the parts """ ....... So.. no so now 2 weeks later after we talked to him We have been calling 3-5 times a day... having people stop by his shop and we can not get ahold of him. That is 100% bullshit.

Maybe he would know the facts if him or his wife would pick up the phone.... I'm sure this guy is more then able to do the job and do it great. But when you got for long periods of time NOT being in contact then there in lies a problem.

and one more thing.. on the "" no money topic "" we were told from the get go all we had to pay for was the down payment to get to the problem and then the money for the parts once he found the problem.

down payment was 400.. parts = 800 something we gave him 1400.oo.. The rest was to be paid after the car was finished.
