Hey, is a DIY turbo kit an option for these cars? It seems like you could piece one together instead of buying a whole kit like from agp. I see turbos all day on ebay for much less than what agp wants for theirs by itself. Correct me if I am wrong.

I also found a new road I think we can run on. You know where timberlake bike trail is? I was able to put it up to 120 today going down that way with no other soul in sight

I dont see why not.

OBX manifold = $230
New AGP 50 trim = $600
38mm OBX WG= $100
Custom 02 housing and dump tube= ?$

i can see how you can make one for about 1k or less.

Is there something specific to the agp turbo? I mean couldnt you use one of these

Besides being set up for an internal gate, I did see an adapter from the 5-bolt to the 4 bolts

Yes the AGP turbos have a tip welded on the discharge end use quality Turbos.

you can use one of those if you want to be SUPER cheap. but i would say go cheapie on everything else EXCEPT the turbo. People have had success with the ebay turbo's and some have had CHRA failure within a few months so its kind of pick and choose.

eBay Motors: DODGE NEON SRT-4 STAGE III T3/T4 TURBO MANIFOLD (item 370067105324 end time Jul-14-08 20:40:47 PDT)

click there and scroll down, it has an option for a WHOLE kit minus 02 housing. Send him a message and see how much that kit is. then post up the price.

got it back today. feels stong as hell and the clutch is very sensitive. ( i stalled backing out the shop lol). they did a really good job on it even though it took so long. no oil leaks and best of all no boost leaks. and the ones i had are now fixed. when i get on it the boost gauge shoots straight to zero and the bov is loud for not being in boost... 55 miles in but i live in crestview and work in fort walton so i should be to 1000 quickly. they also set my fpr and dtec back to normal for me so everything is all good again.. not really in any rush i just want to enjoy it right now

Great to hear man. Give it a little boost on a regular basis.
