Fair warning to those that go out on Saturday nights.
One of my friends was driving home from work today and he took note of cops setting up what appeared to be some kind of camera's or surveillance equiptment out on the Tradeport spot. I can only imagine that a few other area's are set up the same way, or will be soon. With such equiptment, they can get tag numbers and vehicle descriptions and send you tickets to appear in court. They arent playing around with the Saturday night event known to most as "La Fibre" aka "The Fever". Dont think you cant get in trouble if you are not racing. You can now be fined for participation of any manner... Even Spectating. Dont believe me, then go ahead and risk it. I will let you know too that the fine is hefty. Loss of license, community service, court fines, and probation, even possibly time in jail. I've had my run in with the law for this already, so I know first hand. But you dont have to take my word for it.
I work out there. Not to be an ass, but good, I'm glad, it's about time. I get out of work around 2:30 am on Saturday and am tired of getting caught up in the whole ordeal when all I want to do is go home and take a shower. The track is open several times a week, there is no reason for this. Plus there are less populated areas for those that "must" get their streetracing fix in.
Spectating holds the same penalties as racing in FL
Yes, it does, as I stated in the original post. Even after relaying this same information to my friends, the dumbasses went out and they realized what I said was true when cops and tow trucks showed up to The Sam's club. Cops will even impound your car, just for being at any of these racing and gathering hot spots. I stayed my happy ass home while my friend called me with updates. 1 friend got blocked in by cops at Sam's Club but was luckily released. He said that others amongst that bunch were arrested and had their cars towed. The cops are done playing around and so are tax payers whos money ends up going to pay for the extra cops needed to patrol the streets due to these weekend fiasco's. I put the word out there, it's up to you guys to take it for what it's worth.
Sam's club spot too. Management was talking about bringing in an off duty to hang out among the crowd and then call it in when there was enough people. They slightly did it the past few saturdays and then last night my buddy calls me and tells me he was across the street thinking about going over when massive amounts of cops rushed in and blocked the exits. No fun getting caught
I drove by sams last night and it looked like a freakin fair. Is is illegal to gather? I am assuming that nobody was racing in the sams club parking lot...right?
its not about the gathering. Its because of all the burnout marks and drifting and just all around ricerness that goes on. They didnt care that everyone came and chilled, in fact they even said if everyone would come and just hang out, talk, and BS without the burnouts on the fresh repaved and painted lot, they would of been cool with it

They've been doing this for two years, nothing new...
