Default Does anyone have a friend in the FHP?

God damnit. I was on my way to school this morning and I just get out of a tollbooth to head south on the Turnpike. As soon as i leave the tollbooth i gas it just because that's what tollbooths are for... that and paying tolls... Anyways, i drive for less than a ½ mile and a state trooper from over a hill is already halfway across the highway getting ready to pull me over. She said that the airplane clocked me at 80 in a 60. Fuck. So now i have a $223.50 ticket staring at me with +4 points. I'll either have to try and use some connections to have a mutual friend make it disappear or pay some traffic ticket lawyer 100 bucks to make it disappear.

This day is top 3 for worst days and it's only 8:40 in the f!@#ing morning.

well that settles that. Have any of you that used them had the ticket not even show up on your record? They say that happens alot when you look on their website. Thanks for all the advice guys.

Just a question and you can PM me with it if you want, how much did those guys charge you? Need to figure out if i need to cancel my mod orders.

A ticket should always show up on your record, win or loss. Good luck with your ticket though.

Take it to a Lawyer. I have a friend in the FHP...John Blum...you might remember him from go-karts...his kid was sponsered by dr. pepper. But theres nothing he can do.

Also ask how they clocked you going 80 in an airplane. When they clock you from a plane they usually follow you for 3-5 miles and based on how long it took you to hit each mile marker they figure out your average speed. If you were cruising at 80 before the toll booth then your basically screwed, but if they say it was coming out of the toll booth then thats complete BS.

That's what has me so bothered. I was getting ONTO the turnpike and i had to go through a toll before entering. Went through sunpass at 20mph (i dont play with those tolls ) and then gassed it i guess up to 80 and then backed off to normal traffic speed. By the time i was up and over the hill (which was less than 1 mile) the FHP was already moving off the shoulder with her lights on pointing at me to pull over. It was really f'd up.

And i do remember John. They're racing FastTrucks now. And still with Dr. Pepper
