Default Damn Tickets

Just got $210 in fines for window tint and exhaust.

What pisses me off is that it was in a parking lot in Disney on memorial day weekend. People out drinking and driving but the cop is busy jerking me around over stupid non-moving violations. I was going like 10mph! The cutout was even closed so the car isnt THAT much louder than stock.

I always thought that tint/ exhaust were secondary offenses and you had to have a moving violation in order to be pulled over in FL?

Anyone here know about the FL traffic laws so i can hopefully find a loop hole?

just pay the 210. by the time you try and get a lawyer it will cost even more. not just that non moving violations DO NOT affect your driving record/insurance. just pay the fine.

What was the statue # for the exhaust?
It should be on the ticket.

You'll get a bunch of lawyer postcards in the mail soon, lol. I tried the court route once when I got caught by aircraft on the way to Disney. It was only me, the judge and the two cops in the court room. I paid the total cost of the ticket, but didn't get any points, so it was worth it. The lawyers usually do a better job for 75-80 bucks.

Does the cop have proof that your exhaust was too loud? Did he have a decibel meter with him when he wrote you the ticket?

That is what you need to ask yourself, and if taken to court, can he prove it...

At the same time, I agree that you should just pay the ticket and be done with it. Not worth it really to drag it out and stress over it, ya' know! I mean how many times is that gonna' happen? Not many if ya' ask me! Sorry to hear about that Mike, but it'll all work out for ya', Im sure!

no go to the dmv website man... you can simply say the old exhaust was replaced because it was broken and its legal.. also cop needs to have a decibel meter anyways to test it at the time the ticket was given.. do trial by declaration the ticket will be dropped .. do research man before posting incorrect shit
