Default Crash Kills Sanford Teen (Regular Neon or SRT-4)

Sorry guys if this is a repost.

Crash Kills Sanford Teen

POSTED: 11:26 pm EST January 20, 2007
UPDATED: 11:36 pm EST January 20, 2007

LONGWOOD, Fla. -- Investigators in Seminole County are trying to determine if speed caused a deadly crash on I-4 in Longwood, Saturday.

A Dodge Neon flipped three times on I-4, near SR 434. 17-year-old Christina Nicole Jones of Sanford died, after being ejected from the back windshield. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. The other two people in the car used their safety belts and they only have minor injuries.

"You should always have your seatbelt on whether you are in the front or the back,? said Trooper Jay Clark, Florida Highway Patrol.

I-4 was shut down for more than two hours after the crash. Investigators believe a PT Cruiser may have caused the driver, 19-year-old Matthew Connelly of St. Augustine, to swerve.

"Another vehicle changed lanes in front of them and they swerved to miss them. When they came off the road, they lost control of the vehicle,? said Trooper Clark.

Investigators say Connelly was driving over the speed limit at the time. Deputies are searching for the driver of the PT Cruiser. So far, no charges have been filed in this

it's also mine but sometimes you get little pricks in your car and pretend like they are wearing it. i got in an accident last year with my girlfriends' friend. while i was driving i notice she was not wearing it so i told her to wear it responded with "i don't like wearing a seat-belt". later on the same day while making a left WAAM! got hit by a tow truck a block away from her house. she got a couple of broken bones and a law-suit against me but it cool, i belive in carma. till this day i still miss my pontiac grand am (the 2.4l) but it's cool because now i got my self an srt-4 ( still a 2.4 but with more balls )

why dont people understand? SEATBELTS FUCKING SAVE LIVES!!

my gf almost died by not wearing hers on a quick trip to her high school (<2 miles), and ended up in the hospital for a month and a half, and out of school for three months, and she was very lucky.

its so, so SOOOOOO rediculous to not wear your seatbelt, theres no excuse!

"its uncomfortable" bs. I bet you its alot more "uncomfortable" suffering from a car crash with out a seatbelt than it is with a seatbelt.

survival of the fittest. sure it's a sad story and all, but this is evolution at work. One more dumbass out of the genepool. I let people not wear seatbelts in my car, if i wreck and they die, it's their fucking fault.

that sucks, and really seatbelts "can" also kill you as well as save you. Just depends on the type of accident.
