Can't forget....we came about 2 minutes close to shooting down a blimp heading for our installation the same day. If the polizei hadn't gotten the guy on the radio, we would have killed him dead.

As soon as the second jet hit the other tower, I looked at the brigade commander and he yelled for the S2 to "lock it ALL down". We closed the gates immediately and due to our CLOSE prozimity to Frankfurt International, deployed .50 gunners to the rooftops. Then we ran closed-loop commo phones all around to every battalion and basically went into "war prep" mode.
