Do you know what the difference is between the 9 and the 8? What do you think is the FASTEST EVO recorded? The 9 has an advantage because of Mivec. Obviously the 8 doesn't have Mivec so it's down by 30whp. 30whp which can be easily reattained doesn't make a car have top end power over another. They are both the same exact car dude.
As you mod both to the limit - they become equal. Mivec is no good after a certain amount of power requiring a standalone...
I agree that Mivec helps so much to a certain point but it makes a huge difference on stock cars, on the highway. Point in case races modded evo 8 while being stock put cars on it, races anthony lost by 1 1/2 - 2 cars.

It is because I was stating the difference between the 9 and 8, and how 9's are better out the box, and still ahead of "modded" 8's pending on mods, but I see what you mean.

Yeah I could beat anthony and I would have beat any Evo 9 that was stock because I WASN'T stock anymore. Untill I got modded I was losing by 1 1/2 - 2 cars. Yet I still NEVER lost to an 8, roll or dig (fluke) lol.

SRT-4 with 50$ in mods running 13.6 and another running 13.4 with maybe 100$ dollars in mods. So I don't see it being that big of a deal.

Last night was pretty interesting. It got hectic near the end when everyone wanted to stone me. To clarify I said, one of the fastest not the fastest but people decide to have selective hearing because I was talking about an Evo. I stand behind Anthonys shit because it honestly is a fast car, and because he has been a friend for a long time, just like most the corona guys stick up for each other. Yea, I will agree that almost every EVO 8 I have come across has been weak. A guy at the track had cams, and all the bolt-ons - and I still got him by cars down the track. He was pissed! It may not be the power of the car - it could very well be the weak-ass drivers you raced.

It's not that easy man. I should've been in the 12s when I ran down at Speedway. To me, it's not as trivial to get those times as it is to say what your car can do. When Cobras and Supras that are hyped to the hilt coast up to the line, you say to yourself "Oh man, that shit is going to take off and get an excellent time..." - then all of a sudden the numbers pop up and you only a 13.5???

Yeah, stevens running 19 lbs of boost, and he's got fuel and he was tuned by garrett and the guys from ftp. So he's putting out to nice numbers on that 50trim setup. I still think I didn't do too bad.
But Orange Whippin, Your car is a monster, If your just running a stage 1, stock turbo, stock wheel (non SST or E1), setup like you claim, then you probably just made a lot of people wanna go sell there big turbo setups. Because your car pulled just like there's, if not better.
I won't lie, I quite frankly don't believe you in saying what you have because of the outcomes against garrett, I find it hard to believe that a stage 1 stock turbo stock wheel, would beat garrett's meth head. But even though I don't believe you, good run none the less, I was definatly surprised.
