Anyone know of a good place in San Diego to get stuff installed? I'm looking into suspension mainly right now, but anything would be helpful. The only places i can find are all recer shops, and most look at me with a blank stare when i tell them I have an SRT-4... I still can't believe so many people (especially tuners) haven't even heard of an SRT-4. Any help would be great.

The Cop Shop will install a tow chain to haul your car up on a truck and cart it away......heard the SD cops have a special squad of cops hell-bent on ticketing modified cars.....anyone else know of this? I read it in a mag...

I'm not lookin to do anything illegal (at least things that look illegal ) oh yea... and i did get a ticket for my B&B exhaust.... lemme tell you... that's a loud mofo... i got a muffler put in it so its not so bad...hahahaha

i don't know of much besides vw and ricer shops in sd county. i install all of my own stuff. what kind of suspension mods are you looking at. there is one place in mind on coast highway in oc. they work on different cars. two blocks south of mission ave on westside of street. most any shops can handle suspension

yea... that's all i find here too. I'm lookin at gettin s3 coilovers, psi-fi traction device, swaybars, and bushings. I'm mostly concerned with the coilovers and psi-fi device cuz i don't trust my limited knowledge on those, but if the price was right i'd probably have them do the swaybars while they were there. I'm just concerned cuz of the horror stories i've heard of things gettin installed wrong on the srt's
well, not terribly... i can learn, and i'd like to... but not on my daily driver ;-) if it comes down to basically just wrenches, and slappin a new one on, its no problem, but when it takes a lot of adjustment and tuning, id rather leave it to the experts

Go see Dan at Dan's Precision Alignment in Encinitas. He IS the man when it comes to suspension, bushings, alignment, etc. Tell him that I sent you and he'll probably charge you more. Just kidding, he'll probably give you a discount. He has become very familiar with the SRT4, and can do the whole job for you, or whatever parts of it that you don't feel comfortable doing yourself. Then, he will hook you up with a "real" coilover alignment, unlike the jokers at other S.D. shops that say "I have to use the stock numbers in my computer". PM me if you can't find his number.

Might want to check out HSR (HyperSport Racing) in Chula Vista (265-1/2 Broadway Ave. 619.407.4380) and speak with Gearld Limson.
I got this referral from someone here in SD (engrishmofaka?) and went to visit them personally about doing mods on my car. Gerald was very knowledgable about the SRT-4 and the mods that are offered. I never had any work done by them yet, though, (no $$$$ right now) but I was very impressed with what I heard and saw.
Good luck!
