What do you mean by oil filter shredding? I have never heard of that problem before. If it is just the filter, why does it need to go to a shop?

No, I wasn't a t Qualcomm... I tried that track many many many years ago when I had a DSM and hated the shitty dip in the pavement. Anyways not really into racing like I was before.

If you search there are some nasty stories about oil filters on too tight...

Anyways, mine was also on too damn tight and I'd love to beat the guy senseless who did it. I've never had something like that happened to me before. So it tore, and I broke a strap wrench and bruised up my knuckles a bit before reading that guy's post about stitches. That and I've been sick and was tired and annoyed, so I rented a dolly and used my truck to tow it to a nearby lube shop where they had some pliers they had modified for that exact purpose. They didn't charge me so I lined the guy's pocket a little and towed it home, filled with oil, and now it's fine.

I had it aligned, drove it through Sage and back through Temecula before returning home today... something like 70 miles total. So I'm good to go. I'll be there.

I had a oil filter problem like that ,had a hard time getting it off and I tore it up in the process. Someone had to come over and they drove a screwdriver through it and got it off for me,or I would have been stuck having to fuck with it all night. Lesson learned indeed.

I should probably get around to putting the new battery in the car. Or maybe see if the other stock battery is still holding a charge...

Well I already have a couple new batteries but if I can get a little more life out of the stock battery, I'm, um, doing my part for the 'virnoment. Or something.

I tried the screwdriver trick. It just shredded it. I watched the lube guy remove it with his special filter pliers, and it took almost 3/4 of a complete turn before it came loose. And it looked unrecognizable when it came out.

I think the wing place may be too small for the amount of owners I have seen reply to our posts here. Maybe we should explore another local location? I'd say like a pizza place or something?

Eric you need to put a new battery in the srt. Lol. I can see you not being able to start it after we eat. Bring cables just in case!

I guess I'll head out to the garage in a bit. I do need to order another InTune and start driving it at least every couple weeks.

Since we've done wings a couple times recently I'm down for something else. The Pizza Factory has a great buffet which works good for groups but it's on Monday nights and Sun-Thur afternoons. Not sure what everyone's budget is but regular sit down place or something closer the wings, fast food, etc. is fine with me.
