Phil and I worked for 4 hours trying to get the hardpipes installed! HOLY SHIT...didnt think anything could be worse than installing the mopar blue plate!!!
EVERYTHING was off...pipes werent fitting...IC was crooked...etc...
Hotside is giving me the most trouble.... I can't put the coupler on the ic pipe with tbolt on it...so i have to undo the clamp...take it off...install coupler on ic pipe..then put the clamp on....Trying to get the bolt threaded (tbolt assembly) was IMPOSSIBLE!!! So going to give it another shot after work today!
ps..i know that installing hotside on IC first would make it easier...but THEN HOW DO YOU PUT IT THROUGH THE FRONT OF CAR???

lube the inside of the hoses. I tried to install ED pipes with no luck... UNTIL I put a bit of oil and got creative. I hear ptp pipes are some of the easiest to install. good luck.

ya i know..........thats why i was like WTF????????
Yeah that QW ic design in having to drill your own holes it pretty dumb. The holes the last owner drilled made it crooked as hell.

it took me 4hrs to get it installed right...and this was w/ the smaller direct fit QW fmic.
i cut off alot of my front radiator brace.
shove the fmic as high as you can, mark the areas on the brackets, and drill the holes.
drill the holes like 2 sizes bigger than the stud..that way when you go to put it on you can sort of pull on the top of the IC and push on the bottom of the IC and it will "push" the inlet up into the air more so that you can get more clearance to put the hardpipe on.
and suggestion...use the stock hotside pipe. if you have tbolt clamps, just put them on there. trust me. an aftermarket hotside is NOT worth the trouble for a pos shiny pipe that does zero in performance.
This guy drilled his own...since its used....and they suck...there are 4 holes on each tab...Can i drill the area out between them and have 1 big hole? How do you make sure it bolts down in the position you want it..w/o sliding down?

c'mon now man...drilling 4 holes into 1 giant one? the bolt when you tighten it down will hve nothing to catch on and your fmic wont hold up.
and you make it big enough to move around, but small enough for your nut/washer to cover the hole.
