I'm not in Cali, but I painted my stocker black. You need to use Radiator paint. It's more of a dye and it doesn't affect the heat exchanging properties that paint would.

These are the only ones I have so far... I haven't really been takin' pics of the front end, but I might be able to soon... but you get the idea. It looks bitchin' w/ white.

how well does paint stick to aluminum? My concern would be small rocks tarnishing the black fmic. Scratches, chips, dents causing cracking in paint, etc. My car gets hammered on the Long Island Expressway from the sand trucks and other big rigs that haul debri. I was thinking about painting too. It's hot. Just my 2 cents

I used eastwoods radiator paint. And this should be the only paint you used so it doesnt interfere with cooling and it wont chip off. I did mines about a week or so ago and I have 2 bottles left I will sell to you. PM me if interested

I've used 2 different brands, but they are really the same, eastwood being the one I used on the intercooler. No chips or anything yet... but it's just like a radiator, and how often do you have to touch up that? IF you do get some chips/scratches after some time, what's stopping you from respraying?

It does hide the fact that you have an intercooler a bit.

Me... I've got an SRT Design ACR...
