i know what ya mean yo and Ive only had mine for a little less than a year. when i first got it yeah i was wanting to haulass alot. but after awhile i thought to my self why go fast all the time when u can chill and enjoy the ride and not be worrying about a cop hiding waiting to get ur ass. then after i got my first ticket i was like fuck this man!!! so i chilled and hated whenever a ricer would come up on the side and wanna race. Im like what for ill most likely beat your ass and for what, I dont even know you!!! so yeah im young but i know when to be crazy and not to!!
we all go through that stage of wanting to show off how fast we can go, but you hit a point in your life where you out grow it. i save my need for speed for remote roads where there isn't anybody around and for rallyx. less chances of hurting someone else or myself or my car any more than it is already.
it was funny last week i had this idiot in a last gen celica pass me over by the ontario airport and flash his hazards after he went by. i'm not stupid, there are cops from time to time that set up speed traps so i kept going 45 (speed limit). even though there were no cops there, he still had to wait at the next stop light that i did and i saw that he had at least 3 passengers in his car. the whole time i was thinking, yeah right, he really thinks he beat me. oh well, i'll let retards like this guy get the tickets that support the cops' donut habbits and insurance companies' greed.
i was just being sarcastic, i now that a majority of cars can go 90, but is it a good idea? not really. i totally understand where you're coming from with now wanting to catch up with that guy, its called maturity and being more responsible. i know i would have done the same as you being that a ticket would hurt me financially and professionally since i am a mercedes tech and my license and driving record mean a lot to my job. not to mention the safety aspect.
my guess is either the guy just don't give a shit and/or hasn't had his srt for longer than a year. seems like a lot of the new crowd is really making us older owners look bad.
Yeah the whole driving record thing is really important to me...when I worked for monster I drove a company vehicle so I couldn't have any tickets or else. It's funny that you mention the mercedes tech...I just enrolled at UTI training to be a bmw tech. They already have the new 1 series there Can't wait for the speed and power section of the course, the first car I get to play with is a red srt4 it's the shop car. When I was walkin thru with the administrator I was like I'd be willing to bet I know more about that car than your instructor does! Can't wait tho man...theyve got 2 dynos, an engine dyno, and a trans dyno that I can use for personal use...no more waiting in line at dyno days and only getting 3 pulls for 45 bucks for me

ha ha ha yeah!!! there was some kid the other night that peeled out on a corner when me and Wayney_boy were talkin. then he pulled in and we told him wats up. then we asked the ? about any meets or racing but he was like scared and said that he would go get friends and shit but we took off. He was a ricer acting hard but when it came down to business he was like uhhh uhh uhh ill be back. we took off. STUPID RICER!!!! wouldnt have been worth the gas and risk anyways.

it'll be good for you to go through uti, you'll learn lots if you actually apply yourself. i saw a lot of kids not take it seriously, and the guys that say the most shit about uti are the ones that didn't really apply themselves or caused trouble. i don't think you'll be able to run your own car on the dyno since they quit doing that a while ago due to liability issues and students not following the rules. also, don't assume that because the guy told you that you the bmw course is available that you're automatically going. you have to keep your grades up (try in the 90th percentile of your class) and your driving record has to be clean (no more than one moving violation, and possibly better). hope all goes good and if you ever need any help, give me a holler and i'll see what i can do to help.
Yeah I know all about the bmw class...the paperwork says a 3.5gpa but the guy recommended a 3.8. No moving violations is fine...my car has logged 210 miles in the last 14 months. Not something I'm happy about that's for sure lol. Some how I just can't see myself spending 30k and NOT applying myself. I intentionally chose the night class from 7:30-12:30 because it'll allow me to hold down a full time job as well. Plus my administrator guy said the night class is full of the more mature older people who have families and the day classes are mostly the 18 year olds who don't know how to apply themselves.
Saw a black wingless one going North on the 15 then West on the 91 at around 9ish. I was driving a white SRT-4 I tried waiving a few times, but not sure if you saw me, cause it was dark.
