Because it can be tough for some folks to meet during the week, especially with traffic issues, we're trying to put together a new weekend meet for the SD folks. The plan is to meet on the first Saturday of every month in the parking lot of the TGI Friday's restaurant at 11650 Carmel Mountain Rd. The meet will be very informal, and will run from 10:00a until around 11:30 or 12:00, after which whoever's still hanging out can head over to TGIF for lunch.
I'm hoping that an early meet will allow more folks to show up and hang out for a few hours, then still have time to get all of the other "life" stuff done. I was hoping to get the first meet going this past Saturday, but I was out of town for the holiday. So, how 'bout we plan to kick off the new meet on Saturday, Oct. 7?
yeah, but the morning is the time to go up the mountain, it's much cooler if you can get up there by around 8 or 9. but I am down for any meet. This was a really fun weekend, thanks again guys.
Dude that suck, because i want to go to the meeting but i work every saturday.....and the only sat i have off is for the extrem autofest....oct 1.....(but i have every sun off )

That's a good point about making the run early. I used to make back-country runs with some guys I met through the Mustang Club, and we started the runs around 7:30-8:00a to avoid traffic and the heat. When it gets a little closer, we can find out if enough folks want to make the run to make it worth putting together.
I know we're still about three weeks out from our first planned "First Saturday of the Month" meet, but I figured I'd check in to see who thinks they might be able to make it. So far, it's looking like I'll be there. Anyone, anyone, Bueller?
