ALOT of people tell me the SBC is alot better.
but then again its all on who installs it for you...

where did i say anything about him getting an ACT in this thread?
i supplied the link to the SAME question you asked 2days ago. there's no reason for 2 of the same threads in such a short time span.
you go by assumption. i go by real life situations. SBC obviously has its perks. as does ACT. act comes w/ the lightweight flywheel. the SBC you need to pay 340 extra for it. the act is over 9lb lighter. the SBC is not (unless you get the alum. flywheel. the SBC feels like stock. So does the ACT (in my situation). it depends who installs them.
both do their job. id get the sbc for his/your situation just due to the fact its a good everyday daily driver clutch.
Me personally im about to get the ACT Street Disk w/ alum flywheel, pressure plate and all that jazz.
But i think its all in preference and what you like and also what you feel like dealing with during installation, and of course the next guy will be like go with "x" brand just because i sell it or hey my buddy told me to get this and its better than anything that you can get elsewhere. Im sticking with a trusted brand so im gonna x2 on the ACT.
i came across a SPEC stage 1 sitting in my garage. I know they are they cheap clutches but is it decent for stock - 275 hp range? and daily driving? my stock clutch is solid but im having a guy rebuild my tranny and he was gonna throw that in. what do you think?

spec didnt have a good rep a few yrs back when many of them failed, including one being sent thru the tranny case and out the front of the car.
nope i havent gotten mine yet...
imma rebuild the whole thing so imma do it then.
u think FTP will do a good job if i take it to them?
i was think of taking it there that way i can get it tuned and throw in some mounts... catch can... sts... all at once.. and some other stuff.
they have done a good job from what i have done with them in the past. Since ur going to do all that i think u should, but i think u should have them do ur clutch and tune and mounts if u dont know how 2 do that but everything elses u should do.. its ez as 1 2 3..
