Moving to LA need some info. - SRT Forums

My wife is being transfered to LA. I want to bring my car. I wanted to know do the cops mess with SRT's? I'm going to be there for three months do I have to get my car inspected or anything like that? Any crazy laws I should know about? Sorry for all the questions guys.

Just keep it registered where you live and you will be fine

Don't be a ricer and they won't mess with you. If you have out of state plates than you'll be fine they can't do shiat. No if your coming for 3 months you don't need to get your car inspected. Most of the crazy laws won't apply because you have out of state plates I'm assuming. None of that should matter anyway if you drive like your suppose to.

LAPD don't really fuck with you. The surrounding cities are the ones who are meanies. Pasadena , Glendale, Burbank...

But he will have to leave his drivers license registered in his home state too. Some circumstances require a valid id where you currently reside. If you do get a ca id and you get pulled over with out of state plates, you only have 20 days to register the car without paying a penalty. Check out the ca chp website. They'll answer all your questions in the FAQ.

I hear traffic is bad is that only during rush hour?
I hear also parking is hard to find and expensive?

Parts of the city are permit only parking. Not all areas. Cities like the ones I previously mentioned, there is no parking after 2am unless you have a permit.

Traffic is bad during rush hour. It's not too bad. Cal-trans has made major improvements to the freeways to cut commute time. Saturday nights are bad sometimes. Downtown and heading into Hollywood in particular.
