I am currently getting my car repaired at a shop here in local Socal and they were wondering if there was any interest in a carbonfiber OEM spoiler as well as a pvo style spoiler as they are currenly producing items in carbon fiber for the GTR, G35, 350z, 370z and such. It is a vacuum style carbonfiber and some of their product that I have seen has been top notch!! My question is they are unsure of becoming vendors as they wish to see the demand to see if it's worth while.
Now to my question would we be able to start just a poll, to see if there is any interest in either of these so they could get us a quote and possible have a better style and more prompt product?
Thanks for any insight you provide.
Elias

You can start a thread asking if there is interest but you can not advertise for them. Prices don't need to be said, the name of the company isn't important and any contact information for the company should be left out.

Carbon By Design has been on here for ages and participates in absolutely everything Cali does.
I won't trade CBD for some rinky dink shop. Sorry.
Been going to M1 for years, they can do absolutely anything, been listed in many high profile magazines. I seriously don't know why you ladies get your panties in a ruffle when someone asks a non-biased question!? Unless your contributing to the "ANSWER" of the question... keep it to yourself. Now had I stated who is the greates most awesomest bestest badest mostest unfitting carbonfiber hood maker of all time then you can chim in with the CBD.
Now that I have made the thread biased for you ladies please by all means chim in with the ever so tedious;
CBD FTW!
Thanks for your informative input on my question though it helped alot.

Sorry. I remember on this forum when someon could ask a question and get a response to it. Let me clear the air;
Please let me know IF there is any market for another secondary manufacturer wanted for a Carbon fiber spoiler either OEM/ PVO style as well anything else such as lips, hoods, interior pieces. I am fully aware of Carbon By Design and their presence on the forums.. I've been on here since 04(original account is madox01r) . I am just asking if there is a market or desire or want not looking for bashing or CBD FTW comments, please they [CBD] would benefit more from you doing that under their section not here. Thank you in advance.
1 - Are they priced competitively?
2 - Is there craftsmanship = or > CBD?
3 - Are they making some things that CBD doesn't currently make which will grab buyers?
CBD makes some really good stuff, but if this other company came up with a hood that looked bad-ass and different from the current vented hood or OEM hood, then I could see something working. Other than that, people are going to stick with a trusted source with that kind of investment.

Thank you very much for your insight!
1.)1 - Are they priced competitively? Yes, reason for asking if anyone is interested.
2 - Is there craftsmanship = or > CBD? Yes, of course my car and items would be used as test materials for molds and such, I would definitely say there is great quality of craftsmanship in their product. Like stated before this company has been in numerous magazines for their crafstmanship and abilities. One such thing was a '96 Honda civic the customer paid to have the exterior body transformed into a BMX 335i, the only way people could tell was to sit in it and see the honda interior with sterring wheel.
3.)Are they making some things that CBD doesn't currently make which will grab buyers? Thats what I'm looking for, is there any parts that we as a community would love to have made?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated. They are looking to broaden their current market and I would love to see some competively priced items in carbon fiber for our vehicle. $900+ for an induction hood seems rather high to me.
If you guys have some insight let me know, I'm still talking with them. They said that if they get at least 10 people interested in a product they can produce and show their abilities!
My advice to you, and them would be to see what people are buying and put their own spin on it. Find a way to make it different, and cool. That vented hood is freaking hot, but that's not to say there isn't another, different way to produce a vented hood that screams SEX!
To me this is a tough area to get into because it seems to me there are some people where CB is crack to them, and others that primarily want go-fast mods first and foremost. So the price is high on these items, and while weight-reduction helps with speed, a vented CB hood doesn't do as much as $900 worth of upgrades would. I want a CB hood and trunk in the worst way, but money is the set-back because I could get a lot of other things for that kind of money.
So it will have to be hot, different, and affordable to be able to grab 10 people to want to spend the scratch. I think there are things you could do to garner some action, but honestly I'd need to see some designs/sketches first before I would commit to production and the cost that goes with it. If these guys can transform a civic into a 335, they should have the skills to do whatever they hell they want.
Good luck!

Bring on the new vendor I can get you the vendor information if the said company is looking to become a vendor. Cali is Biased because they have CBD so close and why wouldn't they be CBD is a great company. This other company may make a better product or not but we had Carbon fiber pieces everyone was happy with before CBD came along. Plus if people cared more about quality then price CBD wouldn't be selling so many "b" quality products.
Tell them to come to the market but they need to bring their "A" game and be willing to compete with CBD when it comes to quality and price. The SRT market just really doesn't pay more for quality. Yes there are a few members but The NEON community for the last 10 years has always been more about price.
Many products have already been offered so just go for what sells, HOODS. If they are looking for something new or CBD wants something new could be universal for multiple cars. How about Shorty antennas. I have a few other universal ideas but I'm tired of giving people ideas, and typing for today.
