I'm on my way back home to California mid-November after spending a little over four years out-of-state and country. I'm seperating from the Air Force and moving to Riverside where I plan to work and finish my degree.
I've been on these forums for a while now and overseas/foreign moderator for nearly as long. I've passed the title to another overseas member and been transferred to these forums. I'm sure most of us already know each other from non-regional posts (or my autobahn and nurburgring videos) and I look forward to getting to know you all better.
Seeya all in a few weeks!

I'm still out-processing but I'm at Ramstein AB, Germany. Thanks for the welcome and yes, I'm really stoked about coming back.
Thanks Dan, it should all go smoothly. The main things I do NOT look forward to are 91 octane, California quality gas, American drivers all the time (read idiots compared to European drivers), and of course speed limits.
Heh, I played beta for a few years and a little while after as Superstah (friend of Codestah, popular dude back then). I just started playing again and I'm addicted:
Did you buy the SRT through the AAFES dealers??? I tried before I left England (Alconbury 423rd ABS) and they said no dice, they wouldn't ship the car overseas. Whats the gas there? Cheveron is hitting 2.60-2.70 a gallon in the LA area. Do you know about the port in Long Beach where the cars get shipped into? If you need directions or help finding it let me know.

haha yea i was playin during the beta. I think i started at like v0.29 or something. There were only the four ships when i started. warbird, javelin, spider and levi i think. Great shit. I was Cold-Fusion
Cold Fusion sounds familiar, did you play in Alpha West? I remember the non-rotating graphics for the ships and the original four. Now there aren't nearly as many players in Alpha and Chaos zone is just nuts.
Oh, heh, looks like I hijacked my own thread
srt4driver2003 - yes. I actually had THE first/only one overseas for about a month. I bought it when they didn't know it wasn't a "Neon" and the rebate didn't apply. I paid $16,850, no tax for it - then wrecked it six months later on the Nurburgring.
Oh, stop it. You KNOW you'll be back in Germany in about a year as a GS civilian....
I give you a MONTH of sitting in that LA traffic and getting a few speeding tickets before you start scouring the GS job websites.

Maybe you're right, but I need at least a month or two to decide it's not what I thought it was. After being out of California for so long, it's definately going to take some time to get used to it again.
I will say this, though, that every time I'm home on leave I love being there. With family and friends all within an hour or two's drive, it's tough to beat.
BTW iball: I passed on that WG-11 position. I've already commited to going back so I'm going to stick with the plan.
