Imports@UCR Meet Tuesday 4-1-08 REPOST...
Hello everybody!
Here at UC Riverside, we have been running small car meets with students nearby the campus for several months now. Wanting to expand our user base to more than just students, we wish to extend an invitation to all car enthusiasts from all car forums (in the Inland Empire) to join us in this small mass gathering of car lovers of the IE.
The meet is held in a small plaza and there are a few restaurants and even boba joints (if you're into those). Otherwise, you can make a short drive to the University Village located on University Ave. where there are many great food and dining locations.
You might have noticed the name being similar to other UC clubs such as Imports@UCI and Imports@UCSD. However, we are NOT an official university group. We have tried, but noticed that there wasn't too much interest from the right people to do it, so we decided to continue "unofficially."
Here is the info on the meet:
Tuesday, April 1st @ 9pm
767 W Blaine St, Riverside, CA (Address for Tapioca Express in the plaza)
Note: There might be a possibility of police activity but as long as you don't do something stupid, you're good.(NO borderline illegal APRIL FOOLS JOKES...)

in light of recent raids in Riverside, I don't think this would be a smart thing to show up to... just a thought. And this is blocks from my house too..and I won't even go..
Oh and bTW, University Police are 10X worse than local cops. They will completely hand you your ass in a pile of tickets if you screw around near the University.

sucks because that meet is so close to my pad too... I might still go look because it's on my way to work. There's a Donut shop near this meet that should distract the cops
i drove by the meet on the way to work, there were a lot of nice cars there. Evos,350z etc. Probably 25-30 cars. It's a great meet spot, I've always thought about meeting there, but it's too risky with the recent raids. Maybe in a month or 2 .. i don't know

I read the article and PoPos had been visiting for some time? I think we buy some $600 Hondas for bait, let them tow it and register them to local officials.
