went to gay ass john elway crown toyota yesterday and checked out a tacoma. anyone who has ever met me, or seen my car knows how clean i keep it. KBB trade in is 11k. nada guide trade in is about $12300. i owe 15k on the car and have 2500 cash to put down so i am not upside down, or if anything, 1k or so. upside down ftmfl. KBB sug. retail is a little more than 16k for excellent, i couldnt figure out how to get sugg. retail for good condition. so i would say 15k.
check out the truck and i like it, lets work a deal now..
dude comes back and says well the best we can do is $5800 trade in value.
"come on dont bull shit me" lol
so i tell him no dice and to go get my keys..he says right off the bat.. what if we can do 10k trade in..
so i look at him and i said, do you see what you just did? you have just proven that that trade in value was bull shit. and in the most asian ( no offence anyone) accent he replied, " why you be so rude to meeee" "bc you are being rude to me, you offered my an insult of a trade in value offer" haha
got the keys and bont out lol
moral of the story,.. john elway toyota FTMFL! now i have to find another dealership to trade in my $5800 car....
what year do you have, what options and how many miles? thats shitty about the 5800 offer. Guess he thought he had found a sucker. Maybe the 10k offer was more accurate, that's what they're selling for at wholesale auctions right now and they probably just wanted to get their money out of it.
