I placed an order with a vendor here on the forums, and apparently I have a neighborhood thief. I ordered a set of spring/endlinks/ & a WGA and recieved confirmation emails of it being delivered.... yet I have received nothing. I guess the items were left on my doorstep and someone thought they would get X-mas all over again. I bet the items are on E-bay by now...
Anybody ever been through this? Do I file something w/UPS or something since they left it on my doorstep w/o leaving it with a live body? Any help, suggestions, opinions... ?
definetly call up ups and let them know what happened. also try and get the tracking number and a reciept, that will help prove that you had a package delivered by them and what was in the package. i think they are supposed to try and deliver it like two times, hold the package at the main office and leave you a not to come pick it up, and then if it is still not picked up by the owner they are to send it back to whoever originally sent it.
Samething happened to me with fedex, call UPS and let them know whats going on. They should/better reimburse you with the value of the package, I got a check from fedex 2 weeks after I reported what happened. Good luck!
So I should file a claim w/UPS..... They told me to contact the vendor and to resolve it that way. I have to call the vendor later today about this too to see what I should do. I just thought UPS was going to handle it since they shipped it.

Call UPS and file a claim with them, the vendor had nothing to do with them dropping off the package on your door step.
I work at UPS, so let me put it to you this way.If the sender did not put"Signature Required" then it's not UPS' fault. They'll just leave it at the front door.Next time make sure that everything you recieve requires a signature in order to be delivered

They probably want to deal with the person who actually paid for the shipping.

That is what my credit card company said too... they said to contact the vendor and have them ship out the product again and have them require a signature. They also said that since this isnt my fault that I can dispute the charge on my credit card and get my money back. I am going to call the vendor and see if they want to send out the items or I will dispute the charge.

I think what they mean is to re-order the whole thing again, pay with credit card again, then dispute it.
